If he didn't get in last year coming off the Linsanity hype, I doubt he will this year with a reduced role/coming off the bench, even though he's playing much better.
Lin would be an allstar if he was on a big marker team or if he was on a team that was midtier and he was the #1 option. Houston was a pretty bad team for his global brand to sign him to a poison pill. To be fair though when he signed Houston looked like the 76ers do this year and he would have had a chance to put up video game numbers.
1. Lin prolly won't be an All-Star 2. Chinese will still claim Lin because his family immigrated to Taiwan from China. 3. All Star just means you're a popular player not necessarily the best.
Lin starts for allstar but not for rockets lol. That would be pretty interesting story right there. I wouldn't mind if he got voted in cause I think cp3 while really good is a tad overrated and wouldn't mind seeing a LA team get one of theirs snubbed since they most likely will snub a more deserving guard in harden since Kobe will be voted in.
That is not good, what are they going to do with the beard? Oh wait, can Lin wear beard to the All-Star game?
Lol, accidental? No purpose driven all star starter. This year the voting is just plain ridiculous. Should do away with fan voting, its ubsurd. Kobe just, i mean just, came back and has sucked so far yet he will be a starter. Lin is ahead of harden and multiple other candidates that easily deserve it over him, and i like Lin. Need to do away with this popularity contest. Do away with conferences. Have one coach from west and one coach from east, maybe whoever played in the finals the year before, and play a strict pickup style game. Similar to the lottery showing, make a all star selection show. Only way it will be close to unbiased.
Wow. So-called "fan" of a certain team is worried that a member of his team might be voted IN to the ASG and that would be an insult to players of OTHER TEAMS. SMFH.
Lin does not have the Yao-effect on allstar voting. Yao led the league in voting twice and got into the allstar game as a starter quite a few times when he wasn't the best in the conference. Jeremy is no where near the numbers. That being said, I can still see him making it this year. He wouldn't be deserving by play, but def by popularity.
who cares? If Kobe is healthy - people will want to see him play!! Fans don't vote for who gets in the playoffs. They vote for an exhibition game. big deal.
Dude, the only reason he is top 15 in voting is because of his popularity. He wasn't up there because of his basketball skills.
Jeremy Lin pales in comparison in a popularity contest against Yao Ming in the Chinese market. It's a no contest really. Yao is still more popular when retired. Lin would have been forgotten had he retired for the same period of time.
