George is a better defender but Harden has shown he can be a very good defender when heathy. Harden is a better offensive player who can run a team as well.

These two lists are judged by different criteria, The previous all-NBA list was based on the level of productivity and efficiency for this season, and Harden is probably not far off that spot if he plays defense like he gives a crap. This under-25 list is more an evaluation of these young players' potential going forward.

I think Harden should be ranked at No. 3, before Drummond, but presently the way Harden reveals himself as a gigantic defensive liability does make the case for Drummond being on top.

As much I love Harden I have to disagree.

George's offense has improved bounds and leaps this season. He has a pretty significant lead in PER than Harden. Harden's best defensive effort will never be as good as PG best. PG has the length and athleticism. Harden's lateral quickness just isn't as good.

George is averaging just as many points as Harden even at the slow pace they are playing at.

George is also a year younger.

replaces kobe as the guy who makes the most bad shots in the league, but misses the majority of them...WHAT!?!?! This guy must be confused. Harden hardly ever takes bad shots. He is known for being ultra-efficient. You can count on your hands the number of times harden takes contested 2s. Kyrie Irving? Jamal Crawford? Westbrook? Gay? Melo? Cmon thorpe

Well in Harden's defense, he's been injured a good portion of this season effecting not only his already poor defense, but a good portion of his offensive arsenal as well.

So Harden is no longer considered a top 5 player?

    Lebron
    Durant
    CP3
    George
    Drummond
    Harden

Look at the last five games Harden cameback the foot issues. He has scored

    31 pts 7 boards 6 assists 10-19 fg 3-5 3pt
    37 pts 3 boards 8 assists 12-22 fg 3-9 3pt
    14 pts 4 boards 2 assists 3-17 0-10 3pt
    34 pts 7boards 4 assists 13-22 fg 1_3 3pt
    27 pts 8 boards 10 assists 7-17 fg 3-7 3pt

Outside of the SUns game, Harden has been one of the best offensive players in the league if not the best since his feet has gotten better.

Harden is a multifaceted monster who can score from the field, he can draw fouls and put the defense under pressure hence the defense plays less aggressive and unlike George he can be a guy who can play at the point and make his teammates better.

Yeah, that list sounds right in a league of what have you done for me lately. Let's revisit this thread at the end of the season. Also, where was this list last year, ESPN, when Harden was clearly #1? Sometimes, I think they do this just to **** on the Rockets, but you can't argue this time. Just hope Harden recovers and doesn't get injured again.

This proves Morey knows what he's doing and how to draft. I remember him saying Drummond was the best prospect in the draft and we tried really hard to get him.

    If it's 25 and under

Parsons should be at least above Hayward

Harden's defense has been more exposed.

    Not so fast...

Drummond's FG% is all world with very low turnovers and is only 20 years old.

Thus far, Harden has posted a low % with high TOs.

Not saying Harden is a lesser player, just that Drummond has an argument.

Which players should be ahead of him?

Are you for real? Drummond's shots are point blank range and Harden Shots are more mid-range and far more contested. Harden gets doubled a lot more then Drummond hence the low% and motr TO's. Unless you are Lebron, most perimeter players have lower % then a center who lives under the basket.
