I think RG3 played terrible for the most part of the year, but you have to understand that the Skins O-Line sucks as pass protection. They are a mobile, small, run-blocking O-Line...the drop-back pass protection is terrible. What makes the problem worse is that RG3 came into the season with limited mobility due to his injury. Defenses are also more prepared against the zone read play, so RG3 had to do more traditional scanning. Now that wasn't his strength + he didn't practice that skill all off-season due to his rehab. You combine all those factors and you end up with a terrible season at QB. Everyone is at fault: Snyder's meddling, RG3's ego, and Shanny's terrible talent evaluation (which he was bad at in Denver too), plus the $30M cap hit from the Haynesworth signing with was Snyder's doing.
Don't think he's the answer, same with Cutler. Either draft Bridgewater, with the number one pick, or draft Barr/Clowney and catch a falling QB in the third.
stats not media hype if people claim RG3 is garbage, then what is Luck Peyton Manning first 2 seasons in the NFL...... 50TD's, 42INT's... 14-15 w/l record Eli Manning first 2 seasons in the NFL.... 30TD's, 26INT's....... 12-11 w/l record Drew Bress first 2 seasons in the NFL .... 28TD, 31INT's..... 10-17 w/l record Robert Griffin first 2 seasons in the NFL...... 36TD's 17INT's ..... 13-16 w/l record When is Mike Shanahan gonna be called out as a medicore coach, RG3 would thrive on the Texans, because they actually have a defense, and a pass blocking o-line( RG3's gets the ball out quickly if given time and somebody is open)
Not only are those stats are useless, but you're trying to be intentionally deceptive by combining pre-injury stats with post-injury stats to gauge a post-injury RG3.
I like RG3. I think if he was available in this year's draft he goes #1 overall. But those stats are nonsense. What'd Montana's stats look like his first 2 years? Favre? Hint: I assume not even in the same stratosphere as Manning. What about Josh Freeman? Hint: I assume pretty darn good numbers compared to, I don't know, Jim Kelly. Nonsense.
If you're not a Skins fans, then the stats look deceiving. I'm not a Colts fan, so I really have no clue as to the context of the stats Luck is putting up. I do know that last year, Luck threw deep a lot...that's it. This year, RG3's good stats have come from a few good games (Chicago, Minn) and a few blowout losses where he absolutely sucked in the 1st half and then put up worthless stats against a 2nd team prevent defense (GB, Phi). Overall, every Skins fan knows it's a terrible year for RG3. Hopefully Cousins can play well and increase his trade value, bc the Skins need help everywhere, and RG3 is the franchise QB.
nope RG3 has over 3,000 passing yards, a yards per pass attempt over 7, on 60% completion with the most rushing yards among qb's... he's not having that bad of a year, its just the skins are trash around him
You have no credibility if you think RG3 is having a great year. It's either a bias or an ignorance due to never watching the Skins play. No Skins fan thinks RG3 is having a great year. Last year was amazing with 20 TD, 5 Int, and 5 lost fumbles. This year he's at 16 TD, 12 Int, and 7 lost fumbles. He has been indecisive in the pocket and slow with his reads and throws. That said, his O-Line has sucked. Whatever, I'm tired of trying to discuss Skins with non Skins fans.
Stop discussing with SkyrimOwnsAll, he always make the same comments about RGIII in the Football forum, always saying RGIII is having a great year, smh, he just makes absurd comments to support black athletes, and calling people racists for not agreeing with him.
will Luck complete over 60% of his passes he averages less than 7 yards per pass attempt and has a qb rating under 80 for his career he will most likely go through his 3rd offensive coordinator next year, once pep hamilton is fired.... reminds me what alex smith went through, the colts are looking for a coordinator to unlock Luck's "potential", but they dont know he's already a finished product lol
never called anybody a racist but when the media constantly says that Luck is the best young qb in the game, its a slap to my intelligence, im not a fool
Once again, you're totally ignoring the fact that RG3 benefits from a lot of garbage-time completions. Let's take a look at the first game of the season against the Eagles. RG3 finished with 30 completions, 329 passing yards, and 2 touchdowns. Not bad, right? At the time of the Redskins' first possession in the 4th period, the Eagles led 33-14. And in that 4th quarter, RG3 had 16 completions, 169 passing yards, and 2 touchdowns. The Eagles ended up winning 33-27. On the surface, RG3's stats look respectable, but if you look at them in the proper context, you'll see that they're empty. It's like comparing Tyson Chandler's FG% against Olajuwon's.
Right now.... Cousins give the skins a better chance to win. Rg3 is pretty awful out there. He doesn't go through his progressions and he can't out run anyone. The Redskins really did a number on the kid. Hopefully he can bounce back. But, no, i would not give up our 1st rounder for rg3. That is foolish.
Luck cant even get passing yards in garbage time what about the Giants game weeks ago, that Griffin played well, face it you got nothing... i go by stats you go by media hype... Griffin is in the low 60's for his career in completion % with a yards per attempt in the high 7's... which means he is a more accurate and better passer than Luck... give RG3 a new coach that will build the offense around his skillset and watch him take off( no read-option needed)...
based on what FACT: Kirk Cousins is the first qb in NFL History to throw 2 picks with less than 9 pass attempts in a game( 1 of the picks was a pick 6)... he stares down his recievers all the time
I'm surprised you're convinced he has a girlfriend what with his enlightening views on the fairer sex.
