Lots of people who make great music are bad people. And even beyond that, I don't think Kanye is a bad person anyway, just outspoken. Narcissistic? Definitely, but thats part of him, and it's also a part of the music in a good way. People diss him, but have you guys tried listening to a full album actually? Hearing "Gold Digger" or "Mercy" on the radio doesn't count as listening to an artist. College Dropout, Late Registration, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Yeezus are all amazing albums, and Graduation and Watch the Throne are really fun albums. And while 808s is far from his best, its one of the most influential albums of recent memory. I listen to a ridiculous amount of music, and I honestly think Kanye is the best music artist of the past 10 years in terms of output, production, and influence. I can't think of anyone else from 2003-2013 that put out that many fantastic albums.... To get on topic, I was at the concert, and I loved it. Best show I've been to in a while. Didn't see Parsons though
These days, it's hard to determine how creative a professional artist is because they're backed by a huge record label with resources. I don't think Madonna wrote any of her songs in the last 20 years. I know Justin Bieber doesn't write/produce his own songs. Katy Perry now pays writers and producers to come up with her songs. Even EDM producers pay other people to come up with beats. You look at a show like Seinfeld, and you think that Jerry is a total genius. But would show be anything without Larry David? Curb Your Enthusiasm was a success. The Marriage Ref was a total bomb.
