I have a very strong command of the english language and articulated myself perfectly.

I used the keyword solely. Which in modern day English means in most cases it works perfectly fine but in this case it would be an exception.

Maybe YOU need to read and comprehend the english language better.

DMO is a defensive scrub, noob and a joke whatever adjective you want to throw at him to signify the negative will work as well.

    Thank you!

So what? The point of your post was obvious enough. Every few weeks some wise guy takes some out of context statistics as "proof" that statistics are unreliable. You aren't revolutionary or cute.

He doesn't play long enough to take that stat seriously. If he plays more, he will be in those positions more and as a result a better sample size to judge.

Dmo needs to be better at defending the paint.

Those times coinciding with all the times he steps on the floor.

He might look good at some random time, whenever his opponent allows him to look good. Wow what a revelation!

This sounds sounds about right. He's never looked bad in man-defense this year, like he was last year. He's just horrible as a help defender. If a guard let someone get past him, DMo's not there to clean things up. If there's a pick and roll, DMo's never in position to cut off the driver.

But he can hold his own if it's just one-on-one.

Obviously when Dmo is patrolling the elbow, people are afraid to go to the woods

I agree, it's a shame that Mchale is just wasting him on the bench.

Over exaggerating. D-mo can make a nice move in the post here and there, but he can be easily adjusted too at this point. Still young.

Dwight can look lost in the post quite a bit, but when he gets comfortable in a game, he plays at a higher level that D-Mo can only dream about.

Not a fair comparison to either prayer really.

Nail on head. D-Mo is our worst help defender. Why he's not getting PT.

You can't a have a big on the floor that's such a bad team defender. Blow by's turn in to dunks (as you said).

I completely agree with this. DMO just needs some burn to adjust to the speed of the NBA game. His shot hasn't been terriffic in the limited minutes he's played and his defence remains a work in progress, but I think he'll soon find his rhythm on offence and his defence will improve. I think trading him now before really seeing what this kid can do would be a mistake.

What I've noticed when DMO is playing, is that the team (i.e. the bench) hasn't been playing all that great for those stretches when he's in... a lot of sticky ball and contested jumpers which, when the shots aren't falling, reduces the effectiveness of the entire 2nd unit. I also think that sometimes, the ball just doesn't bounce your way... you could argue that he's not putting himself in the correct position, and that may be true, but there's not much you can do when the rebound bounces in the opposite direction from where you're positioned. Another thing that I've noticed about DMO's game is that he doesn't have much hesitiation when he gets the ball, which tells me that he has a lot of confidence in his shot. His post moves are really nice and I think his 3-ball will eventually start falling which should really open things up in the paint. Finally, and this is more presumptive on my part, I like his hustle and think he is really trying to get better and improve his game. I'm not going to predict that he's going to be an all-star, but he definitely has room to grow and he has the potential to become a solid contributor for this team.

DMo just does little things on the court - he tips the ball to teammate on offensive rebound, he helps on defense (mostly when Harden lose his men) and looks bad on D (while actually Harden is one to blame), makes screens and runs the floor. Saw him falling for the looseball when we were up by many points. There was no game since last season where we could actually see where he is improved and how.

Dmo's help defense tonight IMO was superb. His rebounding needs work still if he wants consistent playing time.

He just needs to get consistent playing time and not get pulled every time he makes a mistake.

Stats changed pretty much, but he is still tall enough to bother opponents from mid-range - 11/51 (21.6%), best in the league so far. Small sample tho. Need to try on Dirk.
