I'm not sure how much influence Tellem has on Ferry, but Horford unfortunately still has 3 years left on his deal. So he has no bargaining position. But you have to think that the Hawks would trade for Asik even as a lateral move to cater to Horford. But I'm not sure Ferry is the type of GM who can see value in Asik. I mean, I've seen the team he built around Lebron with one of the biggest salaries in the NBA.
just curious guys...can he be traded even if tellem is still not his agent? it seems that he would wait days before officially becoming big O's agent
Ferry tried to trade for Asik last trade deadline. Morey turned down Asik + Parsons for Josh Smith. (Thank God.) And pleeeeeeeease no one post, "LINK?!?!" Go fish.
Deng fits us perfectly. Not sure if Parsons is happy with it though. I mean, it is his contract year.
Some interesting links and readings. To me, it makes sense that Asik changes agent considering that his probable trade is coming up in 2 weeks. He's looking out for his personal and business interest, so why not hire an agent with clout(?).
Haha. Here's the link in case someone's looking for it: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Houston is still lingering in Josh Smith talks, but Atlanta's desire for Asik and Parsons is a non-starter for Rockets, sources tell Y!</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/304587050286448640">February 21, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Unfortunately, I've killed a few agents but never had the pleasure of just changing one. I envy Asik.
