Wow...that looks. Well sad to say it but that looks like what Pacific Rim could have been (and I enjoyed it).

 

I like Godzilla better when he was a good guy fighting off those other monsters.

 

The little child in me is screaming in joy.

Can't wait

 

I wish filmmakers understood that a reboot of godzilla (or any movie like this) requires more than digital 3d graphics, but I know that this is too much to ask.

Examining the trailer, what is the first thing you see? It is a pan shot of how EPIC they make Godzilla with their 3d graphics and the crumbled buildings.

A godzilla film could be, in the right hands, a seriously awesome film, if they made a kitch version of it, in the vain of Shaun of the Dead, for example.

This film, however, looks like the last 20 reboots, a bunch of 3d graphics with no story and no inspiration.

 

Another reboot....originality is dying fast in Hollywood...

 

They already did a modern kitch Godzilla, it was called Final Wars. This looks freaking amazing. I had the feeling I had when I was a kid and saw Godzilla 1985 for the first time. I remember how in awe I was at the scope of this giant monster just destroying a city with every footstep. I can't wait.

 

final wars is not kitch, and it is in japanese also.

But you got one thing right it LOOKS amazing. 3d graphics will do that for ya.

 

godzilla isn't evil, he's just misunderstood

 

I like they use 2001 Space Odyssey soundtrack of the mysterious black monolith.
