    That's a good point...

I see a surprisingly handsome and focused middle-aged man. Sweet nectar, this will be a good day.

also, can it really be called "hacking" if the site uses no security protocols?

Absolutely right on this one, fakerman. - liberals own the idea of affordable health care. Republicans own the idea of opposing it.

I'm not sure I see the big deal. It titles itself a Resource Guide. It's propaganda, but it doesn't look like CoveredCA.com. People will realize in a few minutes that they aren't in the right place. They're educating the public in the law in the way they allegedly see it. That's politics and free speech. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that DailyKos and crooksandliars would be upset about it.

Here's the mailer: http://crooksandliars.com/files/attachments/13/12/Wilk1.pdf. It bills the website as an information resource.

I don't even know what you're driving at here.

DDoS isn't hacking anyway, unless you're actually the one digging into machines you don't own and turning them into drones; if you're just making yourself a drone for someone else to use (see: Low Orbit Ion Cannon), that's far from "hacking." People over-use the term "hack." DDoS basically just fills a pipe until it can't serve anyone. Better traffic filtering or a bigger pipe/server is really one of the only ways to handle it that I know of. Clearly, healthcare.gov didn't have enough servers to handle even regular traffic, much less than compounded with a (probably) weak DDoS.
