Starting with contest where Lin got the knee injury and only played 4 min the Rockets went 5-0 with Jeremy Lin out + Chandler Parsons in. They beat great teams in Spurs and Warriors and only 2 losses were when Parsons out for back relief. Even more Rockets had greater assists than when JLin plays plus opposing teams scored 91 ppg compared to more than 104 ppg when JLin plays. Any reason why important player like Lin was not missed much?
haren sure missed him in utah and phoenix game because he has to take the blame instead of blaming on lin
I agree. If we extrapolate 5-0 to the entire season, we would be undefeated if Lin did not play in any of the games so far.
are you being serious? how 'bout - because they did lose two games that they absolutely should've won, and lin most likely could've helped in those games? and most of all, this just says that harden can't win on his own and that he needs either chandler or lin in the game as well? using your rationale, the rocket's don't need either chandler nor harden, since lin won games last year when both of them were out and harden can't win with either lin or chandler being out? doesn't this sound ridiculous to you? and using your rationale, none of the three are needed since we lost 37 games last year with those guys??
No not really. Brooks can fill in. The guy they REALLY miss and its plainly evident, is Parsons when he's injured.
This just proves we need to trade him for anything we can get. Probably a sack of potatoes, since that's his market value
The fact that we played well w/out Lin speaks more to our depth than it does to his importance. His ability to get to the hoop was missed, we don't NEED him but I think we're a better team with him especially on the offensive end
Because we have a deep bench, and we're 3-deep at Lin's position. Still, we'd miss him in the long haul. It'll be good to get him back.
I hope he stays away from the arena for the rest of the season and saves his seat for one of Harden's big-booty female friends. We are clearly better without him. Bev's offensive game is flourishing now without Lin standing in the way. Aaron Brooks is the best bench player in the league. Lin was holding back Jones too.
Jeremy Lin such a standup guy, he takes the criticism for the sake of the team. Fans were ready to rip Hardens beard off without Lin to distract them.
There will be games where we desperately need someone who can relentlessly attack the basket and get to the line/score/dish for easy buckets. Parsons is great but he is not on Harden's or Lin's level when it comes to that. Most teams are able to eliminate Howard as an offensive option if they so choose. Better teams are able to negate Harden enough. The best teams might be able to take Parsons out of it. Lin as a 4th option? Not likely.
As others have said, we're deep at Lin's position, but we have definitely missed him (aggressive Lin).
Yea... I think the Rockets missed Lin. How da heck do you not miss a guy who can possibly go off and give you 30.
