Yeah they will ask for a lot more for a guy they paid 5mil to sit on the bench.

    Cmon man think.

They get a expiring contract and a 2nd round pick for a overpaid bench warmer.

Who said Evan Turner was even available? He's finally living up to some potentianl and has been playing great. It would be nice if some of these suggestions were based in reality.

The 76ers don't want to pay him. He's very available.

    Source?

It's a bunch of f'kin crap, every team wish to have shooting guard who actually CAN score AND defend. And I'm pretty sure Turner would extend his contract for many years if 76ers will make a deal. That's a bunch of crap to give away your best scorer for back-up center with huge contract. It would be most stupid trade for rebuilding team in the history. Ughhh, can't even stand what yall saying. Who think Turner will be traded are just a bunch of nonsense things that people pick&up when walking their dogs. Facepalm to you guys.

AGREED! Although he is NOT as good of a score as Harden, he can score and he does play good "D". People forget he was a #2 draft pick, who was over shadowed by Iggy for the longest.

Next year they will have space to add 2 max contracts. Be prepared, 76ers are best on rebuilding team.

I like Denver as a destination. If they're willing to give up Faried, that's an obvious deal. If not, could still do an Asik for Chandler + 1st rounder

I think Morey wants one of two things: Either a tradeable asset (young player with upside or draft pick) or a player that can either start for this team or be the first one of the bench (you don`t trade away a guy like Asik for the 7th best player on your team). In a perfect world he gets both.

Now let`s look at our team to see, which position can use an upgrade:

PG - pretty good among Lin, Beverly and Brooks. Only if Lin gets traded can I see us upgrading here.

SG - Harden is a lock for about 38 minutes a night. Behind him either a PG (2 PG sets are working great for us) or Garcia. We could definetly use an upgrade for the backup position, but that player would only average 10 minutes a game, maybe less if we playe 2 PGs.

SF - Between Parsons, Garcia and Casspi, this is a good position. Parsons will play at least 35-38 minutes a night. So if he doesn`t play major minutes at PF, it is hard to upgrade this position as well.

PF - TJones has been beasting, Casspi has been really good off the bench. Still, this is the position with the most question marks. TJones is still young and hasn`t proven yet, that he can keep this production up. He would also work great off the bench with 20-25 minutes a game.

C - Howard is a lock for 35 minutes a game. As long as Asik is here, we don`t have a problem, if we trade Asik we still got Smith, who is a major defensive liability.

So I really only see 3 options for us here:

    1. Get a PF that preferably also can play spot minutes at C.
    2. Trade Lin for an all-star PG like Rondo.
    3. Get a SF and move Parsons to PF for half the game.

So, if we go for that perimeter defender, it has to be a SF imho. And if we go for a PG, we pretty much have to trade Lin for it to make sense. Still, going for a PF seems to be the most logic thing... but who knows what Morey pulls out of his head this time.

I'm not big on the random trade ideas but here is another guy I think would fit well: Brandon Bass of Boston.

I've always liked his game. He is a power forward with a consistent jumper. He can play in the post and rebound. His skill-set would complement Howard's.

I think he has one or two years left on his contract.

    Maybe Asik for Bass/Lee.

All I want is a power forward that can pick and pop like Luis Scola did (miss him) and since we're not getting LaMarcus, some of these vets on bad teams are worth a look.

It would make absolutely no sense to have Faried on this team. He doesn't offer any of what we need.

    LOL

What is the fascination on this board with Brandon Bass???????

Brandon Bass is everything we don't want...bad contract, subpar midrange shooter who takes a ton of midrange shots, and a big with no length to be effective defensively.

For the umpteenth time, Bass is one of the last guys in the league that Morey wants on this roster.

Bass and Lee with two first rounders.
