are you r****ded? Durant isn't in the same planet as george defensively. But same goes for KD's offense on George.

Considering the Pacers beat the stuffing out of the Spurs in San Antonio tonight.

Why do people think Durant is a bad defender? Is it because of his build? He has freakishly long arms, size & terrific footspeed. Look at his DWS & DRTG then get back at me.

George is probably the more fundamentally sound defender but there isn't much in it like I said.

Am I correct in saying we would be the 2nd seed right now if we didn't lose at Utah and to Phoenix?

Look at horrible measures that give an extremely incomplete picture of individual measures? Ok got it.

I'm not saying he's a bad defender. That just isn't true. He's a good defender. He is nowhere near Paul George's class though.

well KD is definitely better offensively but I wouldn't say not in the same planet if we basing it off this season so far

    George - 24.6 pts (47% FG, 39.4% 3pt, 84% FT) in 36.5 mins, 23 years old
    Durant - 28.5 pts (46% FG, 36.6% 3pt, 88% FT) in 38.9 mins, 25 years old

Durant of course has the higher TS% because draws twice as many FTs per game (superstar touch calls). Defensively George is definitely better. Also consider George is playing in one of the slowest paces in the league.

Here is the question you should ask yourself: Who do you think will finish with a better record at the end of the season between Portland and Dallas? That is the team you want to lose.

I want Portland to win because I've always liked the Blazers and disliked the Mavs.

    Nobody does.

It's just that George is better. He plays Pippen-in-his-prime type defense.

Um, no he doesn't. Pippen in his prime was the best perimeter defender of all time. George is good but let's not go overboard.

Yep. And Harden plays prime Jordan type offense.

    See...I can do it too!

Durant suffers from the same laziness that Harden does, but his wingspan is so extreme he's just a disruptive defender for jump shooters and passing lanes even if he's late. Durant's reach is freakish even compared to other nba players.

Yeah, people are still saying the Pacers wasn't legit because they've had a soft schedule. Well, they have beaten some big boys. I think they are a legit challenge to Miami this year.

Back when they won their most recent championship, people said the Celtics weren't as good as their "soft" schedule even though they finished the season 25-5 against the West.
