Surely Warriors' FG% gonna go up in the 2nd half.

 

It would have been as simple as showing Hardens clips of his good defense compared with his bad defense.

Good job spinning what the pro-Harden voice has been saying. What we have been saying is the world isn't over and b****ing about people acting like he should be traded for scrubs, declaring he will never win a ring blah, blah.

I don't recall anybody saying, who cares if he plays bad defense. Most of us do not hide from Harden's flaws. People just need to understand defense is a team issue, Harden isn't the only person who needs to improve in this area for this team to win.

Also by saying posts on this message board are why harden is playing good defense tonight is just overrating the importance of our opinions.

Harden: "What...clutchfans doesn't approve of my defense...I better start trying"

 

So Mavs are a much better team than Raps? How soon people forget Rockets had a long history of losing big leads.

Maybe it made them ALL play some defense... You act like Harden was the only one...Lol.. And made Howard step up his game too... Can't talk it if you don't walk it...

 

We can't be consistent if we can't be consistent with having no injuries to our key players.

Lin, Parsons, Smith....

Really glad Parsons is playing tonight. His presence has been the difference factor tonight, regardless that his offense hasn't been up.

 

Hmm, I guess in a way maybe. He's definitely our only off-ball cutter guy. But I was referring to the team playing both ends of the floor. I'd say it's more Harden and Howard turning it on/off for big matchups and Harden getting a recent kick in the pants. I don't think Parsons can "set the tone" beyond what Harden decides he's gonna do.

I hope he gets his money though

Kelvin Sampson just earned himself a head coaching job for being real on Harden.

How hard could it have been for Mchale to have said the same thing.

 

It may be obvious, but persuading Harden to bring more effort is a different kettle of fish when it's just the coaches in his ear in the film room versus the coaches and his team mates pointing out Clutchfans, opponent announcers, and mass media making fun of him with coverage of the Viral Video. Especially coming off one of the worst performances of his career.

Harden as an Elite player has an ego, just like anyone else. And high profile people with strong ego's hate being ridiculed by the public.

Shame can be a very powerful motivator.

Probably has more to do with what those around him said rather than what people say here.

If a player is listening to what fans on a message board are saying they are doing it all wrong.

Besides, it's not like Harden hasn't played like this before on defense. It is inconsistent, but you had some people placing the blame solely at his feet. Using his defensive issues to excuse the teams defensive issues and making him a scapegoat.

 

I think everything you posted is possible other than the bolded section. Rants on clutchfans have no effect.

The talking heads of the national media and the YouTube stuff though, no doubt.

 

Impressed with hardens adjustments of using his midrange game, it's there & as a top SG u need to have it in your game

You mean like PPat last year? Who admitted that he had read the threads on Clutchfans crucifying him for his poor rebounding? And then admitted it was one of the primary motivations for him to focus on rebounding?

Clutchfans is one of the biggest sites. One of the posters on Clutchfans made the video of Harden's bad defense. That video went Viral and made every major basketball site and got mass media coverage.

Morey has admitted that the Rockets monitor Clutchfans as it's the biggest fan base of Rockets fans.

Don't underestimate the power of social media, especially on the generation of younger players who are internet savvy.
