Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the new owner would bay $15M *plus* have to cover any luxury tax penalty if that bumps his team over -- and that's $3 for every $1 they exceed the cap. A team with only $5M left in cap space would end up paying $24.9M ($15M salary + 3*3.3M luxury tax penalty) for Asik next year.

Ya shumpert not looking so hot this season so far. Could be injury could be Woodson. Apparently he's benching the kid a lot. Also Shumpert knows he's on the trading block and seems to have lost interest so kinda hard to judge. Might be a chance to get him on the cheap but also risky. He's New York's only real tradable asset so I expect they'll want top dollar.

lol at basketballhoic's 'trade discussions.' If the Rockets do any deal with the Nets, Morey will be holding out for some Vodka for sure! That would go well with the "chicken and rice stand" Morey got in the NY trade a few years ago.
