I think your right, that Bev shouldn't be the starter. This team needs to run like it did last year, and for the most part give Howard the same kind of shots that Asik was getting. I think Howard would be averaging more points than he is now if they would just play like they did last year. Lin and Parsons are better than they were last year, plus with TJones improvement and Casspi we should be playing better all of the time.
If Bev's 3 point shot is off like it was in the Game last night, we are playing 4 on 5 out there on offense.Atleast Brooks is an offensive threat and a great, great 3pt shooter who can attack the rim and be a good playmaker. It balances the offense out.
Not trying to yell or anything.. Everything thats was said of Lin lacking is now being said of Beverly. Thing is, all the Bev fans are backing him with same/similar supporting comments that Lins fans were backing him for. Dont expect any different treatment for Bev when the treatment for Lin was crappy. You're going to hear it for whatever he's lacking in(which is a lot more than Lin).
the scrappy plays, steals, hustle for lose ball is one of the things that people really like about him on the court. He is #1 at that out of the rockets players, I will give him his credit. But truth is guess who is #2 at that? LIN, any rocket fan that watch all last season and this season knows this is true even if you don’t like him. Dude always sheds blood, gets hit in face etc “never flops” have to come out get treatment and goes right back in the game.”we’ve been seeing this since lin has been a rocket” He doesn’t get credit for that part of his game here even though he did it for 82 games last season. Parsons is #3
^^ I can only speak for myself... but I've said multiple times that the guys on this team who hustle and scrap night in and night out -- whether things are going their way or not -- are Bev, Lin, and Garcia (and I see it sometimes in Casspi, too). It's unfortunate that our max players don't play with the same heart on a consistent basis.
Harden doesnt get a call on a bump from a turnover he has shown plenty of times he will fall down and give up on the play let the other team just take off with the ball.
Curious to see what Lin could do with this team without Harden and Dwight in the lineup...one thing is for sure everyone would play hard.
I have to say... even though it's insanely frustrating, it tickles me a little bit sometimes. A lot of the stars in this league can be Lifetime Movie Network-level dramatic when it comes to foul-seeking. Whatever happened to his appeal of that flopping fine?
I definitely wouldn't go that far. Even though I wish H&H played harder on a more consistent basis, you can't deny the talent when they flip the switch. For every lackadaisical game Harden plays, there will probably be 2-3 where he's on and can put the team on his back and take over the game. Likely more, when he's healthy. Mostly, I'm just concerned that he has not had adequate time to rest and GET healthy. Probably pretty difficult to hustle if you're in constant pain.
Lin leads the team to win vs Magic game last season without Harden and Parson. http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?id=400278824
nawh harden is that dude, glad he is here, lin and harden can work, we ran alot of teams out the gym last year.
it looked like bev was about to deck green after that shove he gave to dmo. 6' guy with 7' guy's balls.
yea which is great for a glorified role player. Teams dont go deep into the playoffs because they start a scrappy PG who rebounds great.
He lead the team over the Spurs, Heat, Thunder, and to the playoffs... I think the better question now is, when will Dwight lead the team?
I hate to make this comparison, but Rondo during Boston's big 3 era, was a scrappy PG who rebounded great. Yes, i know, Rondo is on a different level, especially with his passing and mid-range (though in all fairness, the mid-range can't be used for comparison). Anyway, who and what role players are and what they can do and can’t do don't matter as much as who and what the franchise players are and what they do. Ray Allen got the arena what, 3 hours early? to get into rhythm. KG is, imo, a top 50 player of all time and is a straight gangsta on the court. Paul Pierce… god damn it paul pierce. I’m a Laker fan so it pains me to say this, but Pierce demolished the LA Kobe Bryants.
