That's one of the dumbest comment I've ever read. Yeah, let's put native Texan/aggie as a reason to use a pick that will determine our future. Manziel doesn't have the arm strength, and his penchant to run around will not work in the NFL.
I don't think his body will hold up, and I'm leaning more towards Clowney or Barr. This chatter about Bridgewater's frame are starting to nag at me. I want the Texans to draft a QB, true, but I want that QB to have enough size to withstand hits.
you are right, NFL QB's NEVER avoid the pass rush by maneuvering around in the pocket, and they absolutely NEVER fire lazers to WR's in the corner of the endzone.. haha, you've been watching the texans too long, bucko.
he will fill out in time. not drafting a potential franchise qb bc you are afraid he will get hurt is cowardice.
Not sure how credible the guy is, but this review was pretty glowing and yet, reassuringly objective: http://presnapreads.com/2013/10/18/1731/ Some highlights: Major Weakness: Major Strength: NFL Comparison: And finally, on his "weak frame": SIGN ME UP!!!!!
Look at the talent he plays with too. He doesn't have an all-world O-Line or a Heisman caliber WR. He also has one of the best O-Lines in college football and one of the most ridiculous WRs out there.
Clowney has 3 sacks on the year and has problems being motivated. I think we have to draft Bridgewater or better yet trade down with a team like the browns and get their picks.
We gotta take the potential franchise qb. But, good job being aware of Clowney's lack of production. Too many people on this board just watch ESPN and parrot what they say.
Yea, I doubt he slides to the 2nd round. Would be nice though. I was thinking Brett Hundley in the second, but it sounds like he may not fall that far either. Particularly since Mariotta isn't declaring. Mettenberger might be the best left by then, and it's going to be a while before he throws again.
