ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 12/6/2013

Curry and Thompson are not good either on defense and Harden and Parsons was able to get whatever they wanted last year. That's why we beat them 3 out of 4 times last year. Curry and Thompson are great shooters but if Harden gets hot, they would have no way to stop him or any of our guards. I just hope parsons can come back for this game.

 

Rockets may win if Parsons comes back...I don't know if Rockets will lose 3 straight. Lets see what this Rockets team is made of. Show some Pride!

I would love to see more pick-and-roll the next game, especially between him and Howard.

 

Yeah well Klay Thompson has 6 inches on Beverely so I don't think this happens. They tried to put Bev on Hayward after he was eating Harden up and Hayward shot over the top of Bev most of the time. Harden's bad D screws up everything.

 

howard does not like running pick n rolls n prefers to post up n turn the ball over or throw a brick.

I agree. Beverly is a good defender, but because of his size, it only works against point guards. If we swap defenders between Bev and Harden, we'll just have 2 Golden State shooters with open looks instead of just 1 if Harden decideds to slack off on defense again.

 

There is no I in We. Really what he meant was move the ball around to me. Don't take shots without me passing to yall

 

in other words - dwight, come out and set a freakin' pick for me so we can run some pick and rolls, and i'll stop iso'ing so much! i can't do anything but shoot step back 3's when there are no picks set for me!.

meanwhile, dwight called him out for being "sticky" with the ball.

man, hope they're not playing this out through the media, but it sure looks like it's headed that way. time for mchale to earn his keep and get this under control.

Y'all gotta buy in and stop costing James his wins with all the chucking of bad shots, showing no effort on defense and looking disinterested when the ball is not in your hands.

Anyway, can't wait for James to lock down Thompson to only 62 points

 

harden's previous quote about "buy-in to the team" may also be directed at howard. such as, this is the team you have, and this team runs a lot of pnr, and plays at a fast pace, so you need to be willing to do so as well.

 

like i said, i think this is directed at dwight, in response to dwight's quotes last night. they're playing this out through the media, and it needs to stop.

 

Harden, just like every other NBA player on every NBA, NFL, and MLB team talks in general terms when they deal with the media. The minute a player starts to single out anyone, that will cause problems in the locker room. I'm sure Harden knows he had a bad game and must work to improve his flaws, but he is not the only player who has been playing bad the past two games. All the Rockets talk like this to the media after a lose.

 

This is where McHale needs to step in and get the two working, but unfortunately I don't think McHale is that kind person that wants to risk anger either side. He's probably just going to ignore it, and keep blaming the team.
