Can the East field a proper all-star team this year?

    My lord, the number of true STAR players in the east is absolutely abysmal. I can currently see 6 players playing at a star level.

    Lebron
    Wade
    George
    Hibbert
    Melo
    Wall

    Bosh's stats have been ridiculously mediocre, but the circumstances does play a part there. Otherwise, DWill's overrated and injured. Irving playing badly. Lopez still can't rebound. Horford? Afflalo? Beal?

    Contrast that with the west.

    Durant
    Westbrook
    Harden
    Howard
    Aldridge
    Love
    CP3
    Griffin
    Lillard
    Dirk
    Curry
    Lawson
    Parker
    Duncan
    Anthony Davis

    Monta Ellis in the east right now would be a sure fire all-star. Think about that for a second.

    Where would Holliday rank among WC point guards? Is he better any of the following guys?

    Lin
    CP3
    Westbrook
    Lawson
    Lillard
    Curry
    Parker
    Isiah Thomas
    Bledsoe
    Conley

    Jrue outside top 10 PG in the west? Hinkie must be laughing his a** off.

    I would add Brandon Jennings and MCW to the list.

    Jennings is avging 16 and 8, while not impressive, are good enough in the East.

    MCW is just a beast.

    There are 5 on there I believe are by a consensus better than him for sure. I bet you could switch him out with any of the other 5.

    a good solution to the problem would be take out the conferences completely and just do top 16, so location won't matter

    Really? I don't know about his defense, but I'd imagine it's hard to make up for sub-.500 TS%. That's basically below the mendoza line

    i dont see how melo is a sure fire pick on a 3-12 team. i mean if u guys are looking only at stats, then demar derozan, joe johnson, aaron affalo, kemba walker, etc would be in there.

    east all stars should be picked from 2 teams only, the heat and the pacers. maybe throw in john wall and that's it.

    Curry, Parker, Paul, Westbrook, Conley, Lawson too given the way he's playing right now, are definitely better than Holiday.
    Comparable to Bledsoe.
    Better than Lin and Thomas, but the difference might not be much. Advance stats show that Lin is outplaying Holiday so far though.

    Afflalo likely makes the All-Star team in the East. Even Evan Turner might make it.

    You would have to do captains

    So it could be LBJ vs KD or even where each player grew up, east or west.

    The option Of captains could also be used as a media hype to build the rivalry between 2 players, it could also be Kobe vs LBJ

    This way in the 3 point shooting and dunk contest LBJ and player x could pick who represents them and could make LBJ be in most events like the dunk contest
