Don't know if anyone else has picked up on this yet, but Hoopsworld is reporting that Stevie told management he'd be willing to move to the 2 if someone like Andre Miller was brought in. While the idea of Stevie moving to the off-guard aint exactly new, i do believe it's the first time a specific name has been offered up in a possible trade. The Clips are willing to move Miller, and i think we could do it for Mobley (w/ his relatively cheap contract) and filler in a sign and trade. Another reason for the Clips to do it....they will likely lose Pike this offseason, and possibly Maggette the next. Mobley would be insurance for them at the 2. IMO, Miller would bring the perfect injection of much-needed maturity, selflessness and team-oriented play to the ROX.

    I thought Francis hated Miller, it'd be a love-hate relationship I guess.

    lol.......I SUPPORT IT!

    But wait...what is Hoopsworld?

    Is there a link? :D

Anyways..if Andre wanted to join Stevie...THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL!

Mobley for Andre would be perfect. Only if Clippers would accept...heh.

But I'm not sure how much Andre will be asking for.

And not sure if Steve really wants him.

And not sure if Andre wants to come here.

But I'm all for it.

Miller was great at Utah(college not the pro team) and Cleveland, but was not that good on the Clippers. If Miller played like he did when he was at Cleveland that I would do this trade. Assuming it would be Mobely for Miller staight up?

Just think of how many games Andre would cost us due to lane violations alone?

    Sure, Francis and Dre.

If you guys fancy having a sieve as your friggin backourt, I'm sure it's a wonderful idea...

I like Andre Miller, but he's not the right partner for Francis. Talk about being undersized and playing no defense... * sigh *

    And... Hoopsworld?

I'd believe the easter bunny first.

Yeah they didn't look like the best of friends last time i saw them play...

Hoopsworld has never been a real credible source as it is.

"L.A. Clippers - When Andre Miller was traded to the Clippers for former fan favorite, forward Darius Miles, numerous mixed reviews on the trade came in from all sides. Some thought that trading away Miles was a huge mistake because he is a talented young player who seemed to have such a positive upside. While others thought it an excellent move because Miller could provide stability at the point position while being the first point guard in Clipperville to consistently set-up and run the Clipper offensive schemes since the days of Mark Jackson. So in the end who was right?"

I don't trust hoopsworld. I don't like Miller/Francis. If it happens, I hope they prove me wrong, but I see lots of problems - dribble mania, bad defense, bad shooting, defenders clogging the lane.
He can't bail Ming or Francis out with a jumper, he'll turn it over.

If I'm wrong, good. Upside would be he cuts and creates from two options going different ways or gets good picks that he uses to set up a third option.

I'd need another star pf like Brand with Miller. I don't trust him.

Do you realise that Miller got 10.9 assists for Cleveland two years ago? And 8.0 the year before? Miller is a great PG, he just did not fit in with the Clippers. He also had 22 asssists in one game vs. the 76ers two years ago!
