You are so right....BUT, like I've been saying, we need another wing. Wesley Johnson would have been a better signing than Brewer

    lol.

Every time someone blames the loss on Hardens defense i have to laugh. He outplayed Heyward tonight and yet it's still his fault.

Harden just put up 37 and 8 and people are acting like he was the worstplayer on the court

key word "probably". I did not say harden's man "will" go off if parsons played.

Rockets only have 3 good playmakers on this team. Harden, Lin, and Parsons. In that order. With Lin and Parsons out, Harden had to handle the load. I wouldn't mind him coasting, but I just wish he tried just a little bit harder on the defensive side.

^^ technically today it was Lin AND Chandler out, that's 2 main guys in your rotation out which is a first this season.
Obviously with Chandler this is a win because he would've made Hayward work for his shot but I'd like to think if at least Lin had played tonight, he would've done a better job on Brooks' guy.

    Agreed.

While a large part of us losing against the Jazz was a lack of effort, a large part is how confused we seemed without him.

We could have used Parsons' defense.

I like chandler and i cant deny your assertion that he is important to our team. However, people need to stop basing their analysis and conclusions off of one game, a game in which we still had a chance to win in the last 3 minutes. The rockets lost their first game without Harden and we have since learned that we can win games without him. The same is true of Parsons.

Imagine how annoyed you would be of Lin fans had we lost the first game hat he missed.

The way our team is currently built, Chandler Parsons is so important to us. Especially with Lin out. Our starting group needs at least 2 guys that can drive, create and finish or make the right pass to an open shooter or a big man. On our team James, Jeremy and Chandler are the only three reliable guys that can do that effectively. Aaron, Patrick and Casspi do can somewhat do it, but sometimes they go in very wild and force bad shots. And as I have said before, I literary cringe when I see Garcia dribble and do anything except shoot (P.S. I do not like the two man game Garcia has with Omer that they try to do every game either, please scratch that and never use again).

Anyway with Jeremy out, losing Parsons definitely hurts more for the team because then James is the only reliable option you can go to for creating baskets for himself and others. As we saw last night, James can have a huge game as a result, but there is no other guy keeping the defense honest or on their toes like there would be with two guys that can create and finish if we had Lin or Parsons.

And I know we lost last night's game on the defensive side but, obviously Parsons plays a huge part in the defense as well. He might not be as impressive as he was his rookie year defensively, but Parsons almost always makes the right choice on the defensive end. We could have really used him to guard Hayward. I like Garcia, but a lot of us tend to really overate his defense. Hayward was just too quick and strong for Garcia.

Parsons is going to get paid a lot of money when his contract is up. I fully expect him to get the around the same money, if not more, as players such Hayward will get, which should be around what Batum is getting. After reading that article that was posted about Parsons going against Kevin Durant before last years playoffs, the need for a player that is physically similar to KD and other small forwards (around 6-9 and weights at least 220lbs), can play good defense but also keep KD, Lebron, George, Anthony honest defensively is going to be a must. Parsons fits that criteria perfectly. KD is the best player in the West and getting to the Finals, teams will have to go through him and same goes for winning a championship going against Lebron or George.

No way Gordon Hayward drops 29 last night on CP25... speaking of defense, harden needs to stop blaming his teammates for no help defense when he plays the most "olay" defense of anyone on the team

Actually, there was a game where both Harden and Parsons were out and the Rockets won last year. I think it was against the Magic.

Also wanted to add that obviously the Rockets are better off with all three in the lineup but need at least 2 of the 3 for enough play making in the game.

Had to bump this thread. With Harden and Howard's flaws, Parsons makes this team go. Parsons has his own flaws as well but he compliments the team so well, he makes this team go. Rox also are starting to miss added scoring help of Lin as well.

He and his agent are sitting pretty. "Notice how the team plays without my boy?" Chandler makes it happen. And don't think for minute that Lin isn't' missed too. Those drives to the basket are big.

Kind of sad if Parsons means this much to the team. Says something about our "the man(s)". Both of them.

Chandler Parsons is the key to this team, he makes easy plays, makes the game easy for his teamates, and plays good defense.

He is arguably the most important player on the Rockets.

Parsons for MVP!!! When you think about the intangibles he brings to the team he could possible be our most valuable player.

"Arguably the most important" is exactly the way to phrase it. Chandler is our most well rounded player and he seems to be our on the court leader. Also important is that he always plays hard.

Parson's game reminds me so much of Larry Bird's with his shooting and passing at the small forward position.
