It must piss everybody off here that we lost to: - Philadelphia (Hinkie) - Lakers (Dwight) - Dallas (Cuban) - Jazz (long time rivals and worst team in league this year) - Clippers (floppers) How can we lose to the Philly, Lakers, Dallas and Jazz this year in this fashion.
The other teams a learning fast and will develop sets to exploit both of their significant limitations. We may have seen the beginning tonight. We have to see what develops.
I might eat these words down the road (I'd be happy to, actually) -- but if you gave me the option of having Dwight out for a stretch or Chandler, I'm rocking with Chandler. Assuming T. Jones is being T. Jones, that is.
I don't think it's a trap game. It's a game that was suppose to go like this based on Houston missing two of their best four players. Both Lin and Parsons are great at getting to the rim.
my guess, 3 point shooter although i don't think he hit one tonight. he's also a second facilitator if harden gets trapped.
Actually according to some he gave up 107 points along with Howard who gave up 2. I miss the old days. When we would still lose but everybody would talk about trading for a superstar.
I think a lot of people on this board has a agenda at bashing certain players they do not like and a lot of people on this site just can't wait for the Rockets to have a bad game so they can bash the players they don't like. There is a lot of Harden hate on this board and its sad if you are a true Rocket fan.
This loss was so aggravating. Yes, the Jazz are a hard team to play at home. Yes it’s colder than hell in SLC. Yes, the Rox are out two main players. Yes, there were some shotty calls. Those defensive lapses on the perimeter. Then to help top it off, that TO at the 2 min mark almost got me throwing my beer at the screen. Favors/Hayward 43 pts 18 rbs 5 assts Howard/Harden 52 pts 12 rbs 10 assts Those two Jazz players are good, but the Rox have the “superstars” with max salaries. These numbers are only slightly different, considering the different caliber these players are supposed to be. Howard had the highlight dunks, but I actually thought Favors had a better game tonight. Burke/Burkes 42 pts 10 assts 6/10 3 pointers Beverley/Brooks 21 pts 6 assts 1/7 3 pointers FOCK. Tyrone Corbin Kevin McHale I really want to like McHale. I started getting impressed with him. But, it’s Tyrone Corbin. WTF. The Rox should not have to be in this situation, against a 3-15 (prior to this game) team. Houston is supposed to be the much better team, and even on the road and shorthanded, I really thought this should have been a win. Although Harden put in 37, he played 43 minutes, likely on two still recovering bad feet. What Parsons & Lin provides to this team was sorely missed.
I'm really dissapointed in this team... right when you start to trust Houston sports team they just find a way to embarrass themselves.
So nothing about Howard and his $21 million a year contract that people around here was crying for... 15 points and no block shots... Not even double digit rebounds, and that's freaking Utah. Best big man in the game they say... He carried Orlando to the finals by himself they say... We got this dude and still need Asik... Ok, finished venting.
This game was lost in the last few minutes of the first quarter when the jazz went from 4 up to 13 up in a few minutes. It was an uphill from there.
The 72-10 Bulls gave up 92.9 points per game (3rd best in NBA that season). The Rockets give up 103.1, or 2nd worst in the NBA.
This would have been a blowout without Harden, no one was hitting anything and he was giving them open shots too. It's not like he came down and ISO'd every time down the court, and when he did it usually resulted in him scoring.
If I had to bet the house I would say James Harden will not be better at basketball than Wade and Kobe in this life time. Or Any life time for that matter
We could have LeBron, Bosh & Wade playing alongside Harden…but if the coach is not going to use them properly they will also stink up the joint. Just saying.
