Stephen A. just ripped Antonio a new one. Antonio just needed to stfu. He looked and sounded stupid with that accusation. Stephen A. was right, no team needs to cheat to beat the lowly Texans, come on.

SAS, and Jemelle Hill have changed their stance completely when it comes to black athletes.... i guess their jewish bosses told them to conform or else. The Pats deserve to be called out for this, because they are known cheaters... the nfl covered spygate to protect belicheat and brady's image

    http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...ton-texans-new-england-patriots-played-better

Asked to respond to Houston Texans defensive lineman Antonio Smith's comments that he was "very suspicious" of the Patriots after key halftime adjustments led to 27 second-half points and a come-from-behind New England victory, quarterback Tom Brady said Monday that his team simply played better in the second half.

"You know, truthfully, we just played a little bit better in the second half," he said on the "Dennis & Callahan show" on WEEI sports radio in Boston. "We've kind of been through a lot of this before. I don't really think much of it, truthfully. I just kind of have moved on. I've already started work on the Cleveland Browns [the Patriots' Week 14 opponent], trying to find a way to play those guys better and get off to a better start."

    ...

Belichick was asked Monday if he had seen Smith's comments.

"Yeah, I saw them. I don't have any comment on them. That's a league matter," he said.

    ...

Brady noted Monday that halftime adjustments are regular occurrences around the league and dissected in part what has made the Patriots proficient in that area.

"If you have like a bad first drive, you don't really come over to the sideline and go, 'All right guys, we've gotta change everything, let's scrap all the crap we've been practicing all week and just start making stuff up on the fly,'" he said.

"But I think by halftime you have really a good enough sample size to figure out how the game is being played, the things, the matchups that go in our favor, the matchups that don't go in our favor. Maybe there's some new things that they've done that we've got to adjust to, but ultimately, after halftime you get a chance to evaluate and say, 'Well, how did that half play out?'

"You've got to be able to stick with it, stick with what we're doing, kind of what we did against Denver," he continued. "Or last week, we said, 'OK, these are some of the things we're going to get to and these are the matchups we like and we've got to start making the plays that we're capable of making.'"

Smith's accusations are redicilous IMO. If they had come out and been ready for all of those things from the start then MAYBE. But, we dominated them in the first half and then they came out in the second half and adjusted to what they saw in the first half. They had a chance to see it and then react, it's not like they were picking up our new "stategies" or whatever he is talking about from the start.

...huh? Anyway, Stephen A made a good point, did the previous 9 teams also cheat against the Texans. That was just weak of Antonio to express that after losing 10 in a row.

I think that's exactly what he is suggesting.

And please guys, let's not quote Stephen A. Smith (the only Smith alive dumber than Antonio Smith) on the matter.

The results of the 1st half certainly didn't suggest that. If that is what Smith was suggesting then he should of hoped they kept doing that.

the patriots second half comebacks are suspect

againist the panthers in the second half, they were moving the ball at will... something stinks about the pats this year from watching their games

im glad smith said this so teams can keep it in the back of their minds

There's no way to know at what point in the game said play-call and adjustment took place. Just because the Texans tried something new doesn't mean they did it from the first snap of the game.

Not trying to be a Patriots apologist, in fact I could care less about the Patriots. The fact is they are one of if not the best coached team in the NFL year in year out, that's how they are able to continue to contend. It just appeared the Patriots made adjustments at the half and took it to the Texans like most of the teams in this losing streak have this year against the Texans. My point is in this joke of a season, for Smith to come out a smirk and suggest a team had to cheat to beat them with the season they have had was just weak.

I took that quote as a slight dig to the Texans coaching staff. It was something sarcastic as the Pats had a history of spying, but I thought Antonio meant it as something's going on with our team not doing something right. At least that's what I thought when I first heard the quote yesterday.

Dumb comment by Smith...The Patriots are one of the best teams in the NFL when it comes to adjustments. Just look at the Denver game last week...they were down 24-0 at halftime, but came back and won the game.

Unfortunately, in Houston, these players havent seen halftime adjustments in quite some time, so maybe that concept is foreign to them.

Seeing how we have consistently made little to no halftime adjustments, Antonio might be oblivious to the entire concept.

Antonio's comments are a bad reflection of the Texans coaching. Him implying a team cheated because they made half time adjustments suggest he and the team don't know what it is to make half time adjustments. Just a stupid comment all the way around and makes Smith and the team look worse.

Maybe they have hired the towel boy in every lockeroom in the NFL to steal the gameplan and bring it to them during the second half. Hmmmmm...

Or maybe, when they are on the road, they hire Saul from Homeland to have the home team's communication system tapped. Hmmm........
