Someone did actually, i think you just missed it. If you do decide to however I recommend starting with the piano, makes learning stuff like the violin or any other more difficult instrument much easier.
For learning to play the piano, I will need to buy a computer to stream lessons and stuff. Not sure I can afford all that.

hmm My most recent hobby is knitting.. but youre probably not a girl so.. how about volunteering somewhere? Having something to do that takes you outside of yourself is very helpful and makes you a better/grateful/happier person. Any reason you're going "off the grid?" It sounds like this is a conscious lifestyle change, like something out of Brave New World. Maybe try your hand at something artistic. Instruments and building stuff require larger investments, but there's always coupons for hobby lobby/michaels. And knitting is real boring if you're not able to split your attention elsewhere.
