I feel, the X-Factor would be TJ, provided others do their normal contribution. Second X-factor would be Casspi/Garcia to nail those 3s/midrage

Defensive would be interesting as well, since we have Howard/Jones/Asik.

I see a loss. Blowing out two really bad EC teams in a row has made us delusional. We still have the same problems as we did before.

Well Howard didn't dominate in the playoffs against Duncan and Thiago Splitter (Stephen A voice) so I'm not holding my breath. But I don't believe they need a dominant performance from Howard to win...

Gonna be a tough one, San Antonio is one well oiled machine everyone's role is defined and they all work within that, Houston, we are still figuring out who is responsible for what....

It's going to be interesting to see if Pop exploits the Rox defense like Doc and Dantoni did. Harden doesn't play side to side defense, and Bev struggles with playing rotation defense. Danny Green might have a huge night.

    This.

We're very good right now, but you just can't compare a team as young and inexperienced as ours to the 10+ years of basketball excellence that the Spurs have built.

One day our team could be as smooth as the Spurs, but don't expect it all that soon.

The Spurs weren't built in a day. The Rockets won't be either.

If we win this game, great. However, win or lose this game is far more valuable as a measuring stick and learning experience for this still evolving team.

I'd be more than happy if the Rockets were competitive and able to take the lessons of this game to further improve the team.

Not really. Our problems were our shot wasn't falling and our defensive rotations. Both are obviously clicking

I don't care what people say. S.A is the best team in the league, Miami is just cruising right now. The spurs have an on button which turns them into a machine regardless of whether or not their stars are playing.

I wish we could have some games early in the day on the weekend like in the past. Remember those days of NBA games on NBC? Or maybe i'm just mistaken? My memory isn't quite sharp, but i recall watching those afternoon games on NBC on the weekend many times.

Finally getting to a game where we can gauge this team! Win or lose this game will show how far we come a long since those TT days.

    Huge test tonight.

Unfortunate we won't be at full strength to play the Spurs, but the Rockets are starting to get things together and at the very least, putting up strong numbers against weaker teams. Hopefully we can prove ourselves against the Spurs tonight.

How are we not at full strength? Brewer looks a bit rusty last night but seems good to go. Harden's feet seem good, other than from an aesthetics point of view, of course. Oh yeah, there's that guy with the mild knee injury, but Greg Smith really hasn't played much this year so I think we'll be fine without him.
