Los will give 100% of his game on the court. But the question is will Rudy be willing to give this guy more time! I guess will see about that!!!

I DO NOT WANT Los taking minutes away from KT. Right now, I'm not convinced Taylor is much of an improvement over Thomas... in fact, Thomas may prove to be the better player, eventually. His shooting percentage still isn't great, but he scores and boards nicely in the minutes Rudy gives him... his rebounding skills are *far* beyond Mo's. Maybe we should all listen to DaDakota a bit more often [IMG].

Right now, I'm not convinced Rogers is any better than KT. After all, he's doing well in limited minutes, but this might partly be because he's such a different type of player than KT or Taylor... and they're always sort of surprised. I'd like to give him some more minutes, if for no other reason than because he hustles... but I don't want them being taken away from a player who's developing as well as Thomas is (imho).

I remember last year when we did start Los he usually had about 10 in the first quarter to get the Rockets going and then dropped off abit. I honestly think with the way we have been starting games he should be in the starting line-up. Maybe not having starters minutes but in that first quarter we need his intensity. That should help the Starters get fired up early too!

I think Rogers is like Camby - great in certain circumstances (where his quickness for a PF/C is much greater than his opponent's) but a liability in others (where the opposing PF/C are bangers). I love Los and ideally he would be a 11th or 12th man who comes in for 12-15 minutes, cleans up on the boards, hits his 2-3 shots and keeps the other team honest. Unfortunately, the Rockets have too many PFs with incomplete games right now and Los is the most injury prone of the 3 so he stays benched.

Did anyone notice that in the recap of Los's great game there was also mention of Pig Miller grabbing 11 boards? Look, nobody expects Pig to be the answer but the Rockets need a consistent rebounder desperately. We've got a roster spot (even when all of our starters are healthy) so why don't we do the right thing and GET PIG AS BACKUP C.

I've loved Carlos Rogers' game since his days with the Raptors. A stand-up guy who busts his arse every game, who sits on the bench more often than not yet keeps his sense of humour and his team-first attitude. It would be a shame if he left for the Pistons. Of course, we are overloaded with big men on this team, meaning we just don't have enough minutes for the guy; which is unfortunate.

As for him starting at PF; I think he would do fine but he would be more effective coming off the bench. It would painful to watch his frail body banging with the Western Conference's powerful PF's (Duncan, Webber, Malone, etc). Adding his much needed energy and spark off the bench, he can take advantage of either tired starters, or less talented bench players. He has the tools to be very disruptive to the opposing teams' offense; long arms, fast, and good defensive instincts.

he looks very skinny, but weighs in at 240. which is in no way small for a big man.

Carlos does hustle when he's in the game, but I'm not sold on him as a full time player. On a horrible Raptors team, he never played more than 26 minutes a game. I think he did very well denying Wallace the ball last night, but after being his teammate, he SHOULD know how to play him better than Taylor and Thomas.

Seriously? Carlos Rogers is a decent guy who hustles and has some athleticism. He cannot shoot from the outside has no post up game and isn't a shot blocker. He is a decent rebounder and runs the break well but that is about it.

It's no mystery why he was drafted high. He has a lot of athletic tools and size. It is also no mystery why he has spent a great deal of his time on the bench or injured list. He has never done what is necessary to bulk up and he winds up injured nearly every year.

Even when he is healthy, he is oversized by power forwards and out-quicked by small forwards.

I like the guy a lot. I think he is a good person and brings good energy to the floor but he has no business being a starting power forward in the NBA. At best, he is your 8th or 9th guy off the bench who plays a little SF and a little PF. He just doesn't have the skills or health to play 30+ minutes per night in the NBA.

i think he could be a good 7th or 8th man. I think he could be a regular with a team like the lakers, where they have a aging player and a rookie at power forward.

I like Mo' starting. He can get his few early points. Then slap Carlos in their face. Someone who will make them think. At least while we can do it until Cato comes in. Carlos needs more playing time. Let's see what he'll do for us. You can tell he wants to show us. He is playing well. Let him grow on that! Rock on Mr. Rogers!!

I really don't believe that Rudy is going to start Carlos, the guy is nice of the bench. I don't know how come all of a sudden most of the people are sayin' that they loved Los' ever since back in the days. True, he's great, he hustles, and gives good energy on the court, but he also said (if I can recall right) that we wants to leave this team at the end of the year, if I remember right (Heart is where the home is, or something like that), to Detroit?? or something. Anyways, all I'm sayin' is that it probably wouldn't be smart to start him over our other 2 guys at that position, who we might actually keep. peace
