Well Lin and Asik were major contributors to a WEST playoff team last year. Garcia was a great player during the playoffs and Brooks has proven to be a good player along with the emergence of Casspi. We definitely make the playoffs in the East. Maybe even a top 4 seed lolol

Since we know our first unit doesn't play much defense, it'll just be a matter of who scores the most. The 2nd unit can use DMO at PF and it might be a pretty close contest.

I feel sure that the coaching staff realizes what they have. Initially the rotation was very tight as the coaches tried to figure out the starting lineup and the rotation. Look for McHale to settle on a nine man rotation by Christmas.

While the lineups are looking tighter there are still two problems on defense. The wing players in the 2.9 are a step to far away from their man, making the rotation to the shooter at the three point line to slow. Jones is terrible at boxing out his man so Dwight is overwhelmed on defensive rebounds by the opponents two big men. Fix those issues and we can watch the opponents PPG fall off by 6 or so points.

This is one of those posts that other teams laugh about in their forums

I hope the team isn't as cocky as some folks on this board. Things will get more difficult once Asik is traded, and the Rockets need to Pacman as many victories as they can get until then. But, I agree, this team is built for the playoffs. Too bad that Asik is demanding trade.

This second team can even make the last spot in the west though i'd change casspi with dmo. Casspi sometimes is too small at PF. He's more of an SF.

How is it that a cocky post always gets 5 star in CF?

Indiana and Miami get to coast thru the season playing against all that trash when teams in the west have to beat up on each other all season. They should let the conferences play each other more and let the west get some of that trailer trash...

Considering there are only two winning teams in the East right now it's an entertaining idea to throw out there but let's not get too crazy...

This is a Rockets fan forum! Sure it may be a bit of an exaggeration, but probably not far from the truth. The Celtics without Rondo looked like a bench level team with their starters! I didn't even count DMO, Brewer, and Greg Smith. We should be thankful that we have up to 13 guys on this team who are capable of playing meaningful minutes in a game.

Is it better if the division leaders take the first 4 spots (case: Raptors), or should it be that the best records should occupy the top 4 spots? What do you think?

IMHO, top records should get the top 4 spots, regardless of division.

well whoever has the better record gets home court, so it's probably fine how it is. What if one conference is really bad, and they wouldn't even have someone in the top 8?

I've always believed if Rockets were in the east we'd have more championships.
