Yes, because if something happens twice, it automatically happens again in every subsequent situation for the remainder of time. Sincerely, Baltimore Ravens fans in Houston, October 2012
I agree; it had no bearing on the Patriots - but it absolutely spoke of a team too high on itself that had started believing it's own press and tuning its coaches out. Internally, before, during and after - the Texans coaches HATED the letter jackets. I know this for a fact. As much as we pinpoint specific players and their performances, one thing that can't be overlooked: collectively, the Texans got way too full of themselves last year. And they crashed hard as a result of it. Hopefully, a young, inexperienced team got that out of their system and now realizes that the season is 16+ weeks long, not 12.
Homecoming game! Time to break out those letterman jackets! 42-14 and that was the beginning of the end.
This game should be renamed the Purge. Play everyone lowest on the depth chart, let Kubiak use all his challenges up in the 1st quarter, throw no passes over 12 yards and play a soft zone all night. Maybe if we get destroyed hard enough, it will break the curse that has haunted us ever since we played them last year.
Damn...never heard of this Hispanic Heritage Day thing-a-ma-jizzie. I think it's only fair if they also have an Italian Heritage Day, a Scottish Heritage Day, an Eskimo Heritage Day and so and and so on. By honoring only one faction of a populous, you end up discriminating against many. Well, the NFL does want to spread abroad, so maybe send the Texans down south to become the Mexico City Menudos or something. Classless.......
While I am in favor of all those "causes" I don't want them mixed with NFL football. Every October I cringe with all the pink for a month. Just play football; support causes off the field.
Homecoming game for Tom Brady and the Patriots! I just hope we don't lose by like 30. If we can lose respectably by like 17 or fewer I am good.
