Are you talking about that moment near the end of the game when Lin pushed McHale away from the refs while he was arguing Cisco's sixth foul? I thought it was hilarious.
You're complaining when the Rockets outscored the Grizzlies 31-17 during that time? Obviously you are not a Rockets' fan. You should revel in the success they had during that 4th quarter run, regardless of who was in the game. Coaches must hate Howard as well.
u should then feel the same way about beverly who may be a bigger underdog considering he had to go oversees before getting a shot here, lin never had to do that. So if it is a underdog angle then lin and bev should get same love ofcourse unless it is strictly a race angle. How would anyone feel about people liking only white players, or only black players ? I think that would be considered racist, but when it comes to lof's you are just innocently claiming it is freedom of speech?
I think most of us "LOFs" love PatBev. He hustles and I think he and Jeremy like to play together. But if you think PatBev gets half the hate Lin gets then I don't know what to tell you. Race matters. We don't live in a world which is a utopia and all we judge a person by is his skills or abilities. It affects our judgment whether we are aware of it or not. For example we tend to think Jews are smart or rich. That is a form of racial profiling isn't it? We all have our prejudices about race. As the song goes, everyone's a little bit racist. If you think his race doesn't affect how people sees him then you are being a bit naive.
I totally agree..... If something is working, why on earth would you disrupt that flow? I'm happy the Rockets won! GO ROCKETS! I feel a win streak starting YAYYYYYYY
Not gonna lie, I was puzzled when McHale pulled out Lin in th 4Q after the Rockets started a breakaway run that Lin helped lead. However, you also have to give McHale props for sticking with Garcia and Casspi (those two really needed a good game with good outcome that they were a part of). Asik also needed to be shown that he's still a large factor in what we want to do. Beverley also did a good job pacing and taking care of the ball. It's understandable why McHale didn't want to mess with that. He let the bench grind it out and it worked. I'm only speculating but I'd think if Garcia somehow failed to show up, McHale would paired up Bev+Lin to close out the 4th. I think I like to see more Asik than Howard when we play the Grizzlies. Just a much better matchup with Omer in the paint. This is definitely not the appropriate thread, but I think the only question left is what happens when Harden comes back. Will he adjust to how we'be been closing out the 4th or does he go back to iso-mode?
so I've been watching rockets ball since 91 for nothing? never missing a game during the two sandwiches era? this is more of mchale not always sticking to his own philosophies with certain players. If he did it to harden in a lot of the games where the ball got icky sticky then I'd buy your theory. I'm glad casspi went on a tear. hopefully that lifts his confidence since he needed a slump buster 300lbs or heavier in the worse way.
i think mchale was just gonna give him a little break cuz he played the whole 3rd q but the bench players + bev and parsons went offff so he had to stick with them if he really wanted to treat lin like crap hed bench him late in 3rd q and never play him for the rest of the game, he let him stay after pulling out all the other starters in the 3rd q because he knew jeremy was playing well and he got the 3rd most mins tn mchale didnt play DH12 and jones at all in the 4th q who were also playing really well so if ur a lin fan and upset about this, relax, theres nothing to be upset about.
