how do you define a "clutch shot" bc its different from last shot or at the buzzer shot .. clutch shot would be towards the end of the game and you can prob cut it off at diff points based on who you are talking to. In that case I think he does just find with the ball in his hands in the last 4 min or so in the game

He has made clutch shots... And he was clutch all thru the playoffs for OKC to help them get to the finals... And this is a discussion board and I responded to your post. That doesn't make me mad does it...??? It seems you're the one who's mad because Harden is the #1 option on the team... You should take your anger out on Morey and McHale. I can't do anything about it _ they don't listen to me... Sorry..

so when harden doesnt play well and is injured its bc he is not good but if lin doesnt play well and is injured its bc of the injury.. suure no double standard there ..non what so ever...
bottom line lin was not good and his injury really should nto have contributed to that. The only games we won were the ones where lin was not playing

When did I said Harden is no good? Every player has weaknesses. I like Harden and wish he can improve. Same as Jeremy. What is wrong with you?

Howard use to be a superstar before his back problems. He may get back to superstar status if he works on his post moves.

I think a sign of a superstar is how your team does without you. Minus Howard the Orlando Magic crashed. At his best Howard led the Magic to the NBA finals.

Minus a superstar like Lebron the Cavs went from going to the Finals and ECF to a lottery team.

Harden is not a superstar and so far has never been a superstar. He only plays one-way unlike real superstars like: Kobe (all d-teams during his prime), Lebron, CP3, etc.

The Thunder with Harden won 71.2%. Without Harden but with K-Mart they won 73.2%.

K-Mart played for the Rockets and no one ever called him a superstar here, in OKC, or now in Minn even though K_Mart avgs 23 PPG.

It can be argued Harden is just a glorified Kevin Martin.

Now both Harden and Howard are vastly better than the rest of the Rockets right now.

But not for Rockets as a starter. I guess it is coaching problem then.

A big knock on Jordan as well was he was known as a selfish player who didn't trust his teammates... Many said he would never win a chip... But one thing that many of those guys have over Harden is coaching and the guys in the front office...

Jordan had Doug Collins at a young age who is an excellent teacher and Phil Jackson and Tex Winters... Kobe had Jerry West in his ear along with Phil and Tex... Wade had Pat Riley in his ear (LeBron as well when he got to Miami). Even Paul George has Larry Bird in his ear raising him... Harden has McHale who seems clueless at times and a number cruncher in Morey... Some guys just end up in great situations...

Jordan, Kobe, Wade are/were all excellent defenders most of their career. Harden might be the worst SG on D in the NBA today.

Dirk had Mark cuban in his ears, and Lebron won MVP's with Mike Potato Head Brown and dan Gilbert's in his ears? Ear Wax is overrated, you just need to be a good player.

Yes he has... Go watch some of last year's games... And he closed out many games in the 4th quarter, some he even finished off opposing teams in the third quarter. But it just depends on your definition of cluth... Big Shot Bob is one of the greatest clutch shooters of all time (maybe the greatest) but he was a bench player and not considered a great player. Robert and Fisher are the guys I remember hitting clutch shots for the Lakers _ not Shaq and Kobe... But that doesn't mean Shaq and Kobe weren't clutch...

Dirk didn't win a Chip until Rick came along and LeBron didn't win a chip until he went to Miami where Pat was at... Both had great careers up until that point but no rings... And Dirk had Nelson in his ear by the way..

Lebron would've won a ring with or without Pat Riley since he had 2 all stars playing with him. Lebron didn't become any better because he had an old fart as the president of operations, but more because he had lots of help and continuously worked on his game defensively and offensively.

And he had Phil Jackson and Tex Winters... Amazing how you know what history would be like if it happened differently. But just the same _ the great players I named had either great coaching and or GMs... It is what it is... I didn't make it that way... Was just pointing out FACTS... Why you mad bruh...??? McHale is that you...??? Lol..

James Harden is a SUPERSTAR, top 5 player in the league.

Who cares if he ball hogs and doesn't play D? His offense helps the team tremendously.

Lin is not a star, Parsons is not, Howard is not

    Harden = a star

Even if McHale was MJ and Kobe's coach, they would be top defenders. Those 2 superstars have an internal competitive fire to excel on both sides of the court. Harden is just lazy on D. He was the ability but doesn't want to exert the effort. Harden prefers to use his all on Offensive instead.

As I wrote before, it can be argued James Harden is nothing but a glorified Kevin Martin. This is not an insult. K-Mart is a 23 ppg player. But he is just not a superstar.

Kevin Martin avgs 23 ppg. Defense matters.
