I missed it so I had to rewind. On the further review, it looks like Edelman only did 1/3 of the LeBron. There's the stomp, the two-handed push-down, and then the chest beat. He only did the two-handed push-down. Not enough rhythm to combine all three imo.
Refs are freezing their asses off... no need to extend the game with flags, stoppages... hell, they're fingers probably can't even feel the flags.
Is it really any colder than the normal December/January games in Green Bay, New England, New York, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, etc that we have every year?
I walk away at halftime, and it was 24-0. Looked at ESPN to see how badly the Broncos are winning, and it's tied at the end of regulation. What.
22 degrees and falling... windchill makes it close to 0... and the wind is gusting. Its the coldest regular season game in New England in 20 years. Sure, there have been colder games in the past... but cold is cold. Its certainly had an impact today in terms of teams being able to hold on to the ball, and Belicheck is siding with the weather/defense for OT. And the main point was that if this is a preview for Super Bowl weather, its going to be a long time before the NFL goes back to a cold weather outdoor stadium city (if ever). Half the club level has been inside all game due to the weather... same went for the game at the Meadowlands this afternoon.
Pats v. Bronocos is never Brady v. Manning. It's Manning v. Bellichick. This guy elected to give Manning the ball. The balls Bellichick has lol.
Its currently more Manning/Broncos vs. the wind. Belicheck doesn't make this decision if they're playing in a dome, or in better conditions.
Regardless, all these matchups are all about Manning v. Bellichick's D. Great offensive mind v. great defensive mind. Who wins that matchup wins the game.
Agreed. Manning has always had to face Belicheck. Brady has gone against a smorgasbord of different defenses that play on the same team as Manning.
Talib v. Thomas is a great matchup. Love it when top WR v. top DB goes head to head with no help, and the QB actually throws that way.
