This foot injury is a big deal and can linger all season. Maybe we should look at that Harden for Melo/Shumpert deal?

    Lose lose situation.

    If we lose, it sucks.

If we win, 2012'ers will swarm the forum with their Lin nonsense.

Either way the forums will be insufferable for the next couple of days. :(

Good. He needs to just sit out until they're healed. It's clearly holding back his game. I'd rather him miss a week or two than keep re-aggravating the injury all season long.

McHale is finally getting smarter. Maybe there is hope after all.

    It's McHale's fault.

I never knew how bad till that picture showed how bad the swelling is. I'm surprised he has played on it for so long and how they have allowed him to play with that kind of swelling.

I understand the concept of playing hurt with that whole tough guy thing going on but seriously.....he's had bad feet for weeks now.

I'm sure Harden is like most players -- wanting to play no matter what but our coaching staff/training staff needs to step-up.

They need to take a lot better care of their "assets"

With Harden out, expect more time for Garcia, Brooks, depending on matchups. Brewer out with strained right calf. -feigen

Maybe that's part of the reason why his defense has seemed to regress? Lets all hope...

It's a good decision to rest him for a few games. This issue will not go away till he gets at least a week's rest with proper treatment. Harden is so important to this team. And with the amount of games left before the All Star Break, and you would rather have him close to 100% rather than playing him 70-80% up to the break, and imagine the long term risk this can have not only physically but mentally also.

Oh yeah this is why we need a backup sg for Asik.

Probably should have been sitting out for a while to get the foot well. The team will need a much better Harden down the line and Harden has not been the best this year on either side of the court. Others need to step up and McHale needs to not be stubborn and go deeper into the bench.

Sucks in the short-term, but this should have happened a long time ago. And yes, any wins we get in the interim will probably be attributed to his absence by some. Grain of salt.

Really hate that Brewer is hurt right now. Knowing McHale, this would have been his very best shot to crack the rotation.

Anyone still want to talk about how McHale running Harden into the ground this early in the season is "typical" for "superstar minutes"?

We've known that Harden has been injured for at least a week, and by some reports since the season started. He never should have been playing such heavy minutes given there are guys like Lin, Brewer, and Garcia able to fill in the gap (and guys like Beverley and Brooks more than able to take Lin's backup PG minutes). This team does not lack in guard depth.
