I would like Brewer to get some minutes. If we are going to bench Lin, our best 3 point shooter this year, after a few missed shots, we should definitely bench Garcia, Bev, and others when they are cold.
no doubt it's horrible. Did Bev shut down pgs in the first meeting against the mavs? you can say his spirit did, but Brewer could have been used in the second match up. Brewer and Harden should have been out there, just my eye test. Brewer has the body if he did get caught in a mismatch.
Thats the problem with people here. You guys knee jerk about everything. Its like your views of players change according to whether they have a good game or not. At least I don't rag on other players because they are having a bad game.
Also...I didn't mean for this to be a negative thread. I'm simply asking for better treatment of the players by Mchale. See, people on this forum will talk crap about Dwights post game and FT shooting all the time but tonight he has a great game and suddenly no one remembers his bad games. At least I don't give our players **** for having a rough game. I'll be critical but still supportive of them even if they're playing bad, unlike you guys who praise Brewer when hes having a good game but **** on him all night long for having a rough night.
How much traffic is generated by the Lin stuff? half of all posts in the GARM? I hope Clutch is at least make a little extra $ from all this.
Someone posted this on Reddit: Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share: "I was at the Dallas game with my cousin and we both rocked our Rockets red, I had my Brewer jersey on--REPRESENT--and all around us the Allas fans were like WTF and giving us crap. Got great tix right behind the Rox bench, plus my cuz had these beer coupons from his client. Some guy beside us was talking smack to Howard the whole game, not the guy he tossed the ball too, and Howard had like this zoned out look on his face. "First half went great. We were yelling 'Nobrickski!' even though he was lighting it up and at one point Brewer turned around and like nodded our way. That just made us more pumped and we were like 'McFail! McFail! Put Brewer in!' It was real painful coz as the lead went up Brewer had this bigger and bigger look of hope in his eyes--we could see it on the Jumbotron. Then, when McFail pulled Lin in the 4th we were like 'Yes! Brewer time' so we opened another beer (coz 'brew' get it?), and Brewer made a motion like 'Me?' coz McFail pointed to him as if he was gonna go in. But just then Harden jogged by and he was like (to McFail) 'Put in Chandler to feed me more ISO's' and that's when McFail waved off Brewer with this really disdainful look and said like under his breath 'Chandler, give us some white power. And feed Harden more ISO's.' A couple minutes later, when Mark Cuban was standing up acting like an a'hole, Sampson came over to Brewer and was like 'Sorry, man. On another team you'd be a star. But here you're on Coach's **** list.' I don't even remember how the game ended. Me and my cousin and Brewer were like just a shattered stained glass window at that point."
They get benched all the time. Garcia only got ten minutes in the Dallas game, for goodness sake. Casspi didn't miss a shot and only got 15! Brewer, Brooks, Motiejunas, Smith didn't play at all.
I wonder if there are still college scouts out there saying to themselves, "Soon they're going to find that Jeremy Lin is nothing more than what I said he was, an above average Division 3 player. All these stupid Lin fans who don't know anything about basketball with their stats and their logic. Lin is what he is."
