If you cant tell the clear difference between the two or the simple and obvious reason why the rule doesnt apply in that scenario, I cant help you.
If a player keeps their head they would've known not to do that. Unless he's dumb which I do not believe he is, Dwight should know the possible consequences. He does this with 3 minutes left in the game and their up by 5. Then the starters go on to blow the lead and Dwight only scores 3 off of FT's. I'm not say THIS is the cause of the loss but the starters were affected by the crowd and environment. Even that 1 pt tech could affect the outcome in such a close game. Maybe we try a 2 instead of a 3 at the end.
It's not 0 tolerance. It's don't toss stuff at hecklers policy. Twiggy tossed the ball toward a heckler. Fine.
that's really stupid the NBA is a joke. I mean the fines and flopping calls its just all bias. Just a tech would have been enough. Howard didn't even throw the ball hard. I like the NBA better when they didn't have all this restrictions on players and silly fines.
I blame home court advantage. Really, that was not assault. He just tossed a souvenir to a fan. They throw balls and t-shirts to the fans from the mascot every game. Heck, the fan tossed the ball back to the court even harder! Fine was too high, proves NBA wants to punish D12 for leaving LA.
Eastbound and Down lookin' Mo-Fo. The fine was excessive. Mullet head should have been fined a grand for tapping the ball back.
the rule is you can't throw the ball off the court like that, it doesnt matter how hard you toss it. It was a stupid tech, but rules are rules and he should know better. Instead being upset about the fine, people here should be more upset some random nobody screaming dumb stuff actually get to him. Just goes to show how sensitive this guy is.
