monte37 and dirk35 smoked the starting lineup and we are talking about lin?

 

he just refuse to change. last season he was asked by mchale to play more off the catch and he refused. he was asked by the reporters about those ISOs and insist he wont change. "I am the leader I dont need to change." "I am the leader and when I am on the court that's what I do."

he want to be kobe. but he is not. not even close, talent, mind or effort.

 

Can someone put together a highlight video of all the Dallas jumpers which hit the front of the rim then rolled in?

Just want to show how lucky they got tonight.

 

It's McHale's fault, he only played Lin 17 minutes. There must be a reckoning for this insult.

 

Even if he did, it would still mean the exact same thing, he had an off shooting night. That stuff happens.

 

You forgot those last several seconds of the game when Lin came in to commit the foul.

Seriously though, McHale isn't going to be the coach that takes this team anywhere near a championship. His rotation management, lack of knowledge on calling plays, poor support & coaching of Lin (a player that needs to be on the court to rev up to speed without the mish mash of a several minutes here or there of playing time like tonight and an assortment of lineup changes for him to try to playmake for), is may be throwing this team back into the same patterns as last year.

 

People blaming Lin are straight up delusional haters. Ridiculous the double standard fans have here

No I would say 0-10 and -20 means quite a bit more than 0-5 and -10. Pretty hard for a team to overcome 0-10 and -20 in 34 minutes of play and win the game.

You've selectively picked and omitted stats to fit your opinion.

 

And there are 10x more people coming in to complain about the people blowing up about the people blaming Lin than there are people blowing up about people blaming Lin.

Anyway, the fact is that when Lin was subbed out we were up by 8. But I guess he should have tried to score more from the bench

Well said. And it's sad that even old timers have to first say they're not a "LOF" when they praise or defend Lin. This is why the newer trolls are the worst, dividing the forum members up like this.

No, what I'm pointing out is that just because he shot 0/5, of which 2 were end of clock/2 for 1 forced shots doesn't mean he didn't contribute in other ways.

Bev shoots poorly and people are happy to mention he contributes in other ways. For some reason some of those people don't give the same sort of consideration to Lin and want to blame him for the loss given his 17 minutes on the floor.

That is what I take issue with... and there's no way you can put forth a correlation between a +- and time on the floor that's anywhere near as likely as an increase in shots or assists.

+- is a team stat. Shots and assists are individual stats. That you mention both linked to a multiple of projected time on the floor as a measure of efficiency shows a gross misuse or misunderstanding of the basis of those stats.

Lin shot poorly, it's as simple as that. Of all the factors in the game determining a win/loss it was a relatively small factor. A factor of course, but very small compared to Harden's 1/9 in the 2nd half, or Harden's missed FT near the end of game, or Beverley's 37 minutes on the floor, or the crappy end of game play.

However, feel free to put forth your arguments, ill advised as they may be.

 

WTF happened to Harden's FT miss?

 

Now that I've calmed down, I can hopefully make a somewhat rational post. My girlfriend said she has never seen me so mad after a Rockets game. I was fuming. Anyway, Harden is a great talent, but some of the decision making tonight was horrible. Down 2, 34 seconds left, you have Parsons making everything he touches, you don't take a 3 when you been ice cold all game. The free miss was another blunder.


Lat play of the game, McHale again, Parsons or Casspi were money from the land of plenty all night, guess what, he draws a play for the ice cold Harden who was 2 of 8 from there.Anyway, the rott started when he put the backups in for a few minutes to long.


The backups gave the Mavs the momentum and from there there is no stopping even an old man version of Dirk.

 

The problem started when he put the Bev, Lin, Garcia, Casspi and Asik. They were so bad that they pretty much gift wrapped the momentum to the Mavs.Asik just signed his trading warrant tonight.

 

16 min? Harden injured and on a off night still gets 36 min lol love harden but talking about favorites.

4 assist for 16 min not bad. More than Bev.

Sucks how we lost but it was also an away game.

 

You took the one stat in which Lin excelled and you doubled it as a projection of doubling his playing time while disregarding his other statistics, individual or otherwise, and then gave excuses for his poor shooting. It's your typical picking and choosing statistics to fit your Lin agenda. The same thing you've done previously.

You project out assists like it's fantasy basketball and now talk about ill advised arguments. Seriously?

 

Dwight had one of his most dominate games as a Rocket and all I see are posts about Lin and how McHale is doing him wrong. I know we lost the game but I love the production from Dwight.
