Doesn't Omer want a starting role?

I think that's BS. Now that the Rockets have talent, there's no future, there is only now. I want the Rockets to go for it. In the past, I would have coveted draft picks more than role players but no anymore.

Doesn't Deng always have nagging health issues? As to the Euro kid, why are people gushing over him? Perhaps I'm suffering from Euro fatigue, but I'd rather have Millsap.

No disrespect to Twitter user "Chicago Bulls Rumors" but I don't believe this at all.

He put up 67%/64%/93% in the Euroleague, he had a 50/40/90 season last year. Let's just say, the kid can shoot.

Agree with other that if the Bulls reaquire Asik, they will almost certainly trade Noah for Aldridge. Good trades for all involved IMO.

If Jones can keep it up, I really like the idea of Asik+DMo or Asik+GSmith+filler for Deng.

We would have a very strong 7-player core rotation to fight in the crunch moments and playoffs:
    Howard/Jones/Deng/Parsons/Harden/Lin/Beverly.
We then just need to pick up (or trade a couple 2nd-round picks for) a servicable 10-min backup center, who will fill up the situational/expanded rotation with Garcia and Casspi.

Deng will both share the minutes with Parsons at the 3 and play as a stretch 4. For defensive purposes he is even better than a Avery Bradley/Tony Allen type, because he is better matched with Durant/James, etc. There just isn't many elite SGs left in this league to defend anymore. There are many elite PGs but that's what Beverly is for. He can't defend big PFs but then you have T.Jones continue to develop.

This is a league that is going smaller and smaller. Durant/James are playing mostly at PF nowadays. So yes, we would like to have Deng to be the strech four while keeping T.Jones as our traditional four.

I think Chicago has been itching to move Boozer for a while. There has been a lot of buzz in the basketball media that they would amnesty him in fact, or that they were seriously considering it. I think they would give up Mirotic to Houston in order to get DMo and Asik for Boozer. And I think Boozer would be the perfect PF next to Howard. He has the outside shot, the veteran experience we need, and legitimate traditional PF skills (like rebounding and being big).

I do not think however that we could get that Charlotte pick. Morey has pleasantly surprised me in the past though -- so who knows.

We will gladly take Jimmy Butler and a pick. Will take back Deng or Gibson if necessary.

That is interesting. However if we're gonna send DMo out with Asik I suggest we get Mirotic (or a pick) back. I like Deng and agree with what you are saying here but he's an expiring and he could walk. We need to have some residual value to tap if he walks. Unless.........Deng is willing to sign an extension at a little below market value. If Deng would be willing to do that...then he becomes a tradable asset for the future. But the odds of him signing for significantly below market value are not good. So Asik/DMo for Deng/rights to Mirotic.

They may can resign Deng for "Iggy" money... I doubt he would walk away from that being on a good team with no state tax. I think he's worth it as well... Definitely an upgrade over Parsons. But I think that depends on how much the Rockets think of Parsons. I think Jimmy and Charlotte's pick would be good as well. Jimmy is a definite upgrade over Parsons on the defensive end.

He's citing the guy from Houston 610 sports radio. I've no idea if that makes it any more legit though, probably not, hehe.

Come on, that is a little simple minded no? You don't think the team receiving him will take his last episode into consideration?

Blogabull.com suggested Hinrich, Butler, and Boozer for Asik and Lin.

Interesting but I'd prefer Deng to Boozer.

why do people wanna trade Lin, he's averaging 17 ppg a game, and shooting crazy from the field... could be in the running for 6th man of the year

Which is why people want to trade him. Morey's buy low/sell high approach has built this team into what it is. Unless Morey thinks Lin is or will become a top 25-30 player, he will be shipped out when he's playing his best.

And what has Morey accomplished in his tenure? First round exits? You have to build chemistry and that will never happen if you keep trading players when they are playing their best.

Unless Chicago plans to trade Noah it makes no sense for them to want Asik back.

Have you considered the possibility of Dwight getting injured and missing a month?
