He only played 4 mins because he didn't show any effort. Mchale asked him if he was ready to play because Greg Smith, a guy making 10% of what Asik does, has been wowing them in practice in if he hadn't had any PT the entire season. Mchale probably wanted Smith as an example, if a nobody like Smith could be professional then Asik should be too, since he's making 8M a year.

Regarding the game, I really like the way Tjones has been playing. Most people think we need a "stretch 4" next to Howard, but what we really need is an intangible guy who will hussle but only settle for a few shots the entire game, because we want most of our possessions going to Harden, Howard, Parsons and Lin. He's looking like the perfect 4 to have alongside Dwight at this point, and with him getting his first meaningful PT just this season Tjones is gonna be even better.

the lead was already build when he came in... he just maintained the phase.

he still shot awesomely and has only 1 turnover i think.

good game from JLin overall today despite the lack of points and +/-

Not sure what to say about this game. Only a few thoughts.

The Celtics are bad. Really bad. Can definitely feel the Tank seeping from their uniforms.

I started to feel bad for them by the 2nd quarter. It really felt like Kentucky playing your local D2 high school team.

I must admit it was funny seeing the refs start with the sympathy whistles in the 2nd quarter. Been a while since I've seen that.

Glad we got to empty the benches so early. This is what we should always be shooting for against the weaker teams. Blow them completely out, make the game over by the half and rest our guys by the end of the 3rd.

Not sure how to judge our players given the opposition. I honestly think the Celtics could make our 3rd string look like all-star candidates.

It was pretty obvious by the 3rd quarter our guys were starting to tune out. They knew that the Celtics were completely outclassed and started fooling around a bit.

Should get a much better feel in Dallas. They'll be playing hard.

Nice low stress night. Looking forward to Dallas. :)

Agreed. Boston had terrible defense and rotations. Their front court was so slow and clumsy...this team is built to tank lol.

If we make the assumption that Terrence Jones will keep up his current level of play (11/8 , near double double player with good defensive and shotblocking presence), I don't see how Jeff Green or Bass would be an upgrade over Jones. Even if they are, it would only be a miniscule upgrade.

Jones is a pretty good rebounder, at least better than what Bass and Green have shown in their careers. Jones is also only 21, whereas Bass and Green are already 27 and 28 respectively.

At this stage, I am not even sure if we should be looking to upgrade the PF position. D-Mo and Jones are two guys we want to develop, so they could be our answer for the PF, especially T-Jones who has looked very promising.

Feels like a waste of a very valuable asset if we trade Asik for these guys.

    They also beat the Heat.

Just goes to show that no team can be underestimated and every W needs to be earned.

The Celtic have really gone downhill since taking the Heat to 7 games just 1 1/2years ago in the east conference final
Of course then they have KG , Pierce, Rondo and Ray Allen playing back then

Ellis is playing like **** like he always does. One of the worst chuckers in the league. He's a smaller Rudy Gay.

    Freaking awesome:

Houston also never trailed in its 122-111 victory over Denver and has not trailed since falling behind New York 61-60 with 7:41 remaining in the third quarter Thursday, a span of 112 minutes, 19 seconds.
