Scola was my favorite Rocket and is now my favorite non-rocket. I will always remember his hustle, the man was a beast on the hustle factor, also incredible footwork. Don't miss his D though =)

would like to have scola back :)

    trade Asik for scola

but I'm afraid that will make pacers too strong... unless asik again becomes "unhappy" with back up situation lol

Parsons is a much better all-around player than Shane, and he's much younger.

I am happy that Battier won 2 championship in Miami before he retired.

No way they could have kept Battier, nor should they have with his contract about to expire. Scola on the other hand... If we had aquired Harden prior to waving Scola, I'm not so sure the Rockets would have still let him go.

Would love to have both of them back for cheap towards the end of their respective careers. They are great guys, and their veteran leadership could really help.

I feel like if we had even one of those guys, it would make a big difference just from the leadership aspect

I'd love to have the Ice cream scoop man back at the 4 with Lin,Harden,Parsons,Scola,Howard.

That would be a great starting 5.

I'd rather daydream about Lebron opting out and signing with the Rockets in 2014.

Its not like we are currently stopping the other teams from scoring right now anyways. Its would just be run and gun. Ice cream scoop man has a reliable 15 ft jump shot and even more post moves than D12 with 1/10 the athletic ability.
If you look back in the last 10 games its not like opposing 4's are the one's doing the scoring against us. Its mainly the sg's and sf's that are scoring against us.

Good catch. Thanks aelliott. So yeah, I can't see how the Rockets could have gotten back Battier or Scola.

scola was average in his prime, but by the time we signed him to his big contract his was definately a minus defender, a bad one. he did try though, but trying doesn't give you results.

why does this board severely overrate parsons like this?...did you see last year's finals? when he was knocking down 3 after 3, and also stopped duncan on his own down the stretch?

i would much rather have shane on this team....
