Williams was 2nd in the league in assists to turnovers for the entire year. Granted, this isn't the be all end all of PG stats, but imo, it is a very important one. Oh, and we can't really get any softer at the PF position, can we?

I think Williams showed us all a little sumpin when he burned Stevie's ass for 38 that time. He certainly has improved a lot. That being said, I don't want that crybaby Gasol. I don't care if he's better than Eddie...good lord he is such a pansy-ass when it comes to calls.
Why finalsbound...then my trade would fit your pleasures. Cuttino Mobley/Glen Rice/1st Rounder Jason Williams/Shane Battier/Wesley Person or Mobley gone for Williams. Rice and a 1st rounder for Battier and a Wesley Person or Michael Dickerson. Mobley's gone because although he is a great player, he is a ballhog. The Grizzlies have 2 first rounders this year. And if we give them another 1st round draft pick...they will have 2 next season. And they can use all 4 on point guards! Williams is assists crazy. He's been disciplined. He is a good ballhandler and has matured. He would be nice on our team. He gets a lot of steals. He can shoot 3's. Battier is a great 3 point shooter. He is very solid. And his contract will expire. He might ask for a lot...so they give him up. They already have Mike Miller and will have Person and Mobley. Rice would give them veteran leadership and another 3 point shooter. And his contract expiring would give them more freedom to go shopping. Person would be a nice backup on our team. Or Dickerson would be too.
Now that's what I'm talkin' bout...MEM would never budge but getting a heady player in Battier and a sharpshooter in Person is EXACTLY what the Rockets need to do.
Steve Francis isn't going to be traded anyway. And i'm glad he won't be. But everyone who has postet trading threads involving Steve Francis... STOP Francis the Franchise won't get traded.
hmmm... this sounds like a good trade. i'd still be a bit hesitant. maybe memphis would throw wesley in there also. i can't see mobley wanting to stay much longer if francis departed. point to ponder... would the grizz still want francis after their infamous draft day debacle?
Huge fan of Pau Gasol, not a huge fan of Jason Williams. I would love to get Pau Gasol though, Mobley and Griffin is worth a shot but the Grizzlies are not that stupid.
It sure would make the rockets better. J Will with like 25 assists a game unlike francis with 8 to 11 assists. J Will wants to get out of memphis he wants to go to a contender team we sure would want him here.
