NBA is an Offense league. Yes you need good defense to win championships, but there is only 1 team winning the title every year. To become a star in the league you need to put up points. A very good example is Cav's Kyrie Erving, he's been an all-star every year but he is one of the WORST defenders in the league (yes he's alot worse than Harden).
It's tragic that you can't see that Lin is not only better than Dragic now, in almost every facet of the game, but he also has the upside to be even better. I will take more steals and blocks over whatever subjective criteria you are judging on defense.

I agree Lowry is the better defender of the 3 when he plays at his best. But unfortunately he hasn't played at his best in a long ass time.
Did you guys see Dragic guarding Westbrook, he is by far the best one on one defender, it is not even close. Doesn't mean Lin sucks, it just means he is not as good at defense. Loving how he is playing this year, so stop being so overly sensitive about anythin Lin. It is like dealing with a bunch of prepubescent emo children. DD
one game doesn't mean he's a great defender, you have to be a great the whole season. dragic was a horrible defender last year overall.
One game is your sample size? I could find you one game of any player in the NBA where they looked like the second coming of gary payton. And then you resort to name calling. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are a child. If anything you are being the childish oen with the name calling. Also I don't think anybody is being sensitive considering the fact that we said Lowry is a superior defender to Lin when playing at his best. Lin's defensive synergy stats were a lot better than Dragics last year.
Lin is far and away the worst of the three on defense. He plays reactive defense rather than predictive which hurts him quite a bit, as he doesn't have the lateral quickness to recover as well as guy like Beverley.
No my sample size was watching them both play, watching Lin continually drift off his man or being unable to stay in front of any PG - he is great at playing the passing lanes, and poor at staying disciplined in front of his man. Seriously, we need to call some of you a Wambulance..... Lin doesn't ask for excuses, but some of his emotionally unstable fans do. DD
I don't know about now because I haven't watched Dragic play for a whole year But I know the Dragic I watched on the Rockets was a better defender than Lin as a Rocket. Lowry is overated on defense, his defense suffered the most when he had to be productive offensively, he lets his man blow by him as much as Lin does. Dragic>Lowry=Lin that's while they were all rockets
What a load of bullchit. Neither Lowry nor Dragic are much better defenders than Lin. Both the Suns and the Raptors have much better pick and roll defense, because Dwight Howard doesn't want to defend the pick and roll nor use it to score.
Just for record purpose. Lin's PER is 19.47 now, ranking 10th among the PGs. The raise of his PER comes mainly from his reduced TO numbers, with a total of 3 TOs in the last two games against the Knicks and the Nuggets.
I have watched both Lowry and Dragic play this season. Neither of them appear to be plus defenders. The delusion is strong though.
I imagine the defense effort is not quite the same on teams that are clearly terrible and have no shot at the playoffs.
i have my own opinion therefore you are delusional and Lin is clearly better. Hard to judge Lowry because he wasn't the same after the injuries the teams Dragic and Lowry play on now is not the same situation Lin is in While they were all rockets Lin is clearly the worst of all three. But then again that's just my opinion.
