When he claimed he didn't feel well when he played New York. He only played 4 minutes the night before and got mad and asked to be traded.

McHale in a roundabout way pretty much said he quit on the team

So not feeling well and not playing is quitting on the team? Hasn't the flu been making its way through the team? And asking to be traded isn't quitting. He hasn't publicly come out and said he wants to be traded. The rumor got out yes, but so far there is no proof Asik has handled things unprofessionally. You can choose to assume Asik has quit and leaked the rumors himself but I think the level of vitriol displayed here is a disservice to a center who carried this team to the Playoffs last year

Speculation and rumor. Asik is a warrior. If you had bothered to watch the Rockets games last season you would understand that. Disappointed? Yes. Quitter? No. You do not seem to know very much about basketball or the Rockets. Perhaps you should not let your ignorance out off a leash.

Morey will trade BOTH Dwight and Parsons if he can improve the team!

I have a strong feeling when fans begin to turn on Dwight, Parsons will not be there for him.....

Lovely. A strong feeling. My god I wish I had the balls to post on CF based on a strong feeling. I guess some of us have a higher standard. But I completely agree with your first sentence.

But I do find it interesting that serious BB analysis sites have speculated that an Asik/Lin trade for Bosh would allow the Heat to challenge the Bull's 72 game wins season.

    Ohh man.

Dude, after playing only 4 minutes he basically quit on the team when HE ASKED TO BE TRADED.

If that isn't flipping off the team what the hell is??

The not feeling well crap is basically irelevant.

He didn't go on First Take and demand a trade. He didn't call Stephen A Smith and demand a trade live on ESPN. Evidently he made the request behind closed doors to Morey and has declined to comment publicly. That is his right and is the professional way to handle it.

"I don't understand what he's so upset about"

    Stupid ass comment to make.

Everybody is an asset to morey. If getting lma requires parsons, then he might get packaged along with asik.

Thank you jtr! You should know me by know. In this case my "strong feeling" is backed by numbers.

If Dwight doesn't change his mindset, it's only matter of time when that happens.

I would do it for Lebron or Durant in a heartbeat.

I don't have a problem with Asik asking to be traded. He wants to start somewhere and that is what he came here to do. Otherwise he would have stayed in Chicago. He wants to start more than he wants to be on a winning team at this point in his career.

If he signed with the Rockets with the promise he'd be the starter then he has a legit gripe. I don't think anything Parsons has said is all that bad.

Asik does need to be professional about it. Pouting isn't going to help anyone. But I wouldn't say he is pouting just yet.

He will probably not play anymore for this team, morey & asik have to play this safe if he gets hurt we can't trade him and that would be even worse than what's going on right now the team.

It's ridiculous in that the Lin situation is even more egregious. Lin was not benched for someone better, he was benched for someone worse. and last year he was also benched because his coach did not like his play. Basically Lin has way more reason to complain but because his contract and how he came to Houston is very similar to Omer, Lin is in a better position to call out Omer. But Lin is smart enough not to get in the middle of it.

Parsons is in no position to call out anyone. He should have stopped at the part where he says he is supporting Omer and that's it. The rest was better left unsaid.

Before people jump all over Omer remember this, Omer has never come out and demanded anything. He has not been quoted anywhere. One snapshot of a guy shaking his head on the bench does not a problem child make.

I also think the Coach didn't do Omer any favours either. He should have said he put Jones in over Omer because he felt we had a better chance at winning, and not talked about Omer wanting to sit because he was not feeling well.

    I think he is.

He won't play tonight against Denver, didn't play last game against Knicks, and put in minimal effort in the game against the Sixers.

Your team is out there playing insane number of minutes, fighting through multiple injuries, and you are just sitting on the bench pouting.

Quite disappointed with Asik's behavior. I thought he was better than this.
