I'm not a frequent poster, but I'd like to start a discussion on the Pacers... I watch the Pacers play basketball and I am not impressed. Yes, they're long, young and play great defense but I always revert back to how we dominated them in the preaseason. Granted those were exhibition games, but anyone who watched the games knows both teams we playing like it was a playoff game. Asik didn't play in either of those games; instead, Jones and DMo held down the 4 spot. I think that's the answer right there. I hope Asik does get moved and we move forward with our young guns. Every other team around the league plays their young guys, I don't understand why that's so difficult for the rockets to do on a consistent basis. Just my thoughts...I'd like to hear yours.
70 is probably pushing it though not out of reach. But it's possible they could have the best start. I remember our very own rockets had a nice start in 1993-94 season...what's the record exactlyfor best start?
70 is completely out of reach. The 94 Rockets started out 15-0 then 21-1 and did not come w/in 10 games of 70.
They're on pace to go 82-0. So until something happens to derail their chances of beating the Bulls' record / going for >70 wins, then this topic should be discussed without flame.
umm we were on pace to go 82-0 merely a few weeks ago. Look at us now. Its been a disaster of a season. /s
Not completely out of reach with their defense and consistency. Great defense means they're in pretty much every game. If Danny Granger somehow integrates back well, who knows? They could win 65 games. 70 is still ridiculous. But 62+ would be extremely impressive.
The 95 Bulls team included the greatest player of all time, the greatest wing defender of all time, the greatest rebounder of all time, and the greater 3 point shooter of all time. Needless to say, they were kinda good
Small sample size to make conclusion.. I predict 50-60 wins though. Good team with well-built chemistry.
