the whole team defense wasn't up to the level I like to see, especially team defense, such as rotating to defending p&r. give credit to Anderson. I saw a few times lin was with him and put his hands in his face but he still made those 3pts.

The way I see it is is, Lin needs to improve on certain things but some of his mistakes are also due to coaching decisions that need improvement too. Wrong assignments on defense, running him out of gas, etc. but this is also a problem with other players too. I don't see the two (Bev, Lin) competing over roles since the two fill out very different contributions to the team and it's all about maximizing every players effort for the team.

Omer has played 82 games for us last year. He's played 30 minutes per game and he had just under 8 shots while having a respectable 12 rebounds per game. His turn overs were low at 1 and he seldomly fouled. He didn't demand the ball, he just went with a pale in hand and just went to work. Within the flow of the game he earned 10 points a game, nothing extradionary, but we never really needed a high output center thanks in large part to all our other scorers.

Dwight played 76 games for the lakers last year. He's averageed 36 minutes per game and he had 13 shots per game. His total rebounds aren't that much higher at 14 rebounds per game. His turn overs are at about 3 per game. Where he he stands out is in scoring where he had 23 points per game. I'm not arguing that Dwight isn't the better offensive tool, but what I am arguing is at what cost?

As I was watching last night's game for the first part of the game we were trying to force feed him shots and they weren't falling. Worse yet he turned the rock over 5 times. Our offense since acquiring him has not been the high octane offense I remember from last year. He's a liability late in the game due to the Hack-a-Dwight tactic and I started to honestly start questioning if his desire to be the 2nd offensive tool in order to keep him happy is worth the difference between the two. I'm not arguing who the better player is, but one has to wonder if the difference is justifiable.

howard has been trying to play outside his game since he left Orlando. SVG kept him play within his capability. his good years with Orlando make him and public forget what he is.

I can't create threads, so instead of starting another Lin thread I'll just post it here.

    http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/11/15/5102166/jeremy-lin-rockets-role-breakout

States that Lin is being more aggressive to the line and taking more FTs, and it says he might have learned a thing from Harden.

What do people think. I think Lin's aggressive is great, but he should probably drive even more and draw a foul. Bu thaving said that, he actually really needs to learn to do it the way Harden does. harden seems to be able to draw fouls pretty safely, while Lin goes straight in and gets hacked. I worry for his longevity in the league.

I do like Lin being aggressive as that is when he at his best(like when he broke in with NY). Some just think that he is more aggressive coming off the bench this year, but his FTA is almost identical starting or coming off the bench. I think it's his attitude and improvement in his game instead of the role that causes him to be more aggressive.

Right now they have nearly identical turnovers per minute played.

This team is crazy good as far as points on the rim. Your core guys of Dwight, Harden, Parson and Lin are all over 50% for the year. Parson and Harden are shooting terribly from the three this year. Once that stabalizes in the 30s this team is going to get scary. They haven't quite clicked on all cylinders yet and once that happens and their rhytm is there they are going to be lights out on the offense. They have also been stymied with injuries to boot. The fact is that in most games so far this season they are shooting less than their opponents on average. This team is going to start blowing out teams very soon once they get their shiat together.
