Yes. It was obvious that he was totally exhausted. However, some people feel that if you say something like that you are an bias Lin fan are are making excuses for him. Lin must be perfect.

    Am not basketball savvy.

Can anyone please help me out. We have been in many end game situations (say last 8 sec of regulation) where we lead by 3. Is it not better to foul before any attempt, give them 2 FT and make sure Asik and Howard are in. The worst case after they made 2 FT would be we call a time out to map out how to waste the remaining seconds with 1 pt lead.

I feel I'm wrong because the Rockets are not doing it.

You're not wrong. This is why people are absolutely SCREEAAAAAAAAAMING for Mchale to be fired. Dumb dumb dumb yes/no decisions that cost us things like these last two games in a row (as you know the raptors game was almost an L).

some just like being contrarians. for example, last year during the first month of "all star voting" Lin playing badly but a league vote getter
"He only gets those votes because of the chinese vote."

But when a hardcore lin fan says how he is loved by glorious chinese comrades:
" I live in china. nobody gives a damn about Lin." the poster probably has never left Texas but he just has to get an opinion that contradicts on a guy they never really liked to begin with. :p

I went from not liking lin to really enjoying him play. Our coach has to encourage more PnRs, harden and lin are getting stripped at will when they take it in on their man, the PF plus the center. If tim duncan does it for his offense, why shouldn't dwight no like it?

Yup... Could have been a win. Do it once, it's an honest mistake... Twice, you're really thick headed. Thrice, you're fired.

We really missed having clutch Harden in the 4th.

If we had harden this game would have never gone to overtime. James Anderson should never score 30 again

It is 50-50 if you don't have a foul to give. It is 100% to foul, if you have a foul to give. Maybe I'm wrong. I believe we had a foul to give.

Well, that was frustrating. We are dead-last in the NBA in FT% and TOs, and it's killing us.

heh? foul to give has nothing to do with this. Coaches dont want to foul because they're afraid the guy will go into the shooting motion that late in the clock. Either you want to foul or don't.

That said you absolutely foul....rather than let them diagram a 3 you make them do a million things right to beat you

1--they have to make the first free throw
2--they actually have to get the rebound or possess the ball
3-- they actually have to then take and make a shot with little time left to tie/win the game.

If I told you you can either go with that option....or just let the other team run a play and trot out your best defense, which would you go with? Lin defense wasnt bad, hand in the face, that's about as close as you can get without fouling.

Some of these old school coaches need to get with the program.

the key has been our primeter defense. whether is falls with Lin, Harden, Parson, or Bev.

We needed a guy like shane battier on the team.

The energy needed to bring the ball up the court would've been much less than running around chasing Anderson though.

nah, he's side by side with him forcing him to take tough shots. You telling me if before the game i went up to you and said James Anderson is going to take running floaters and sweeping hook/lay ups, you wouldnt agree that's good defense?

The one easy layup he had, Lin wasnt even guarding him. Now Lin was picked off a few times that resulted in open 3's, him and the team need to correct that, but if it was so easy to do then no team in the league would run pick and rolls....you just have to accept that over the course of 48 minutes, people are gonna get open looks.

Missed free throws killed us in overtime. James Anderson should never scored 30 ever again.

I agree with you. If the other team's was not shooting, you foul, especially when you have fouls to give. I went back to check. We only committed two fouls in the 4th quarter. For one thing you waste the other team's time. Second, you let them inbound again and put pressure on them. It is basketball 101. But they failed even on basic stuff.

    Asik 4min??

McHale gave jeremy a chance to close out the game and he turned it over on multiple drives in the 4th....very disappointed with that

then mchale stops trusting lin and starts feeding howard the ball with parsons running the O. Awesome move since howards going to make the free throws if they foul him on the shot attempt, but luckily hawes just owned howard str8 up.

I do not like McHale as a coach. Bev or Lin should have been initiating the offense and if Lin was on fire like that he should have gotten way more shots drawn up for him. You know for sure Harden would have gotten 25+ shots without anyone on the team complaining if he was on fire.
