It's not hyperbole to suggest we might miss the playoffs at this rate. Look at the Western Conference. The Spurs and Thunder will be competing for the top seed. The Warriors and Clippers are virtual locks for the postseason. The T'Wolves are off to a great start. The Suns and Blazers are early season surprises. The Grizzlies are struggling, but they have too much talent to rule them out of at least getting the 7th or 8th seed. And the Mavs could easily make the playoffs if they can keep Dirk healthy(they would've last season had he not been injured). That's 9 teams I just listed. Even if we allow for the possibility that the Suns come back down to earth over the course of the season and the Grizzlies continue to disappoint, that leaves us scrambling for the 8th seed. Not exactly what we envisioned coming into this year.
I am disappointed in our start, through the first 10 games we should have been no less than 7-3 especially considering our schedule. But I am confident we will turn it around sometime in the first 20 games.
