We currently in a stretch of 10 games in 15 nights. Our players have had barely any rest and practice to adjust. Our SOS so far has been .500, not that easy. After tomorrow's game vs the Knicks, our schedule gets a lot easier in terms of rest. I don't think we have had more than what 1 or 2 practices since the season has started? Just give it some time. Pacers who are 8-0 btw haven't played a team over .500 yet
This is so true and the other teams playing in video game god mode doesn't help as well. The worst thing if you look at the schedule is that they really haven't had time to have full practices since the first week of the season. If they do practice it's probably just a video session and walk through.
It's pretty insane how the Rockets don't even get more than ONE day of rest after a 4 games in 5 night scenario. And now we have another back to back.
Sure it's brutal playing against lottery teams besides Clippers and either Mavs/Blazers. We have had a soft schedule in terms of the teams played and should be 7-2 instead of 5-4
Just from an early look on all the contenders (Miami, SA, Indiana, OKC, GSW, Chicago), San Antonio is the only team that has had a comparable schedule to us. The other team's SOS from a guess has been below .460 and they haven't played nearly as many games as us
It'd be better if McHale would expand his rotation. We could've won more games if our players weren't so exhausted.
Yeah, but look at the teams we've played. The only excusable losses thus far are to the Clippers and honestly the home game was one the Rockets could've and should've won. There was no excuse to lose at home to a depleted Lakers team. They nearly blew a 17-point lead against the Raptors and needed double OT to survive. And they choked a 10-point 4th quarter lead against the Sixers tonight. The Rockets should be at least 7-2 right now. Sure, they'll get more rest between games in the weeks to come, but the flipside is the competition will be much tougher. And the way they're playing right now, that extra rest won't mean squat in terms of wins and losses.
