I know this has probably been debated already but could someone remind me why was this guy was hired????
He was hired because: 1. He was cheap 2. We had a young team that was not expected to make the playoffs so there was no point hiring an established coach Now that Morey has built a roster with great talent, it is time to hire a real coach and get rid of the clueless, incompetent McHale
he's barely even a playoff caliber coach. we went to the playoff last year cause of harden, lin, asik and parsons, inspite of our imcompetent coach.
I think the reason he's still our coach is because our FO is seeing how he reacts with a very talented team. He got us to the playoffs last season, and now we need to find out if he's a championship team. I assume he has this season to show flashes of being that guy. He can certainly improve like Erik Spoelstra did throughout the season
He is without doubt one of the worst coaches in the league. Gets outcoached on a regular basis. Brett Brown the rookie had McHale in his pocket all game.
McHale was an decent coach for what he had in 2011. Just like the team has as win now mentality, we need a win now coach.
After Anderson scored that three to tie it, I almost thought to myself why is he leaving a guy who Anderson has been abusing all game on him when the guy is hot. Then I figured it's a McHale move so no one has an answer.
He is very flexible and can take orders from his upper hand. Morey wanted somebody that can translate his computer analytics into real world results.
We needed a puppet to tank. Just like Lin was a mascot for us to tank. Morey didn't even know he'd pull the harden trade.
Can someone please ask McHale: 1. Why he did not foul with a 3 point lead and fouls to give? Did he not learn from Monday night 2. Why did he not put Brewer on Anderson? Situational offense/defense substitutions
What was the chances of him hitting that shot and why would we play the free throw game when he have been shooting poorly from the line?
