    Agree with harden being out. He needs some rest, for sure. Also, Jones starting is a positive. He definitely deserves it. Hoping for a W tonight

    A player can artificially inflate his assists by dribbling for 19+ seconds to start possessions thereby increasing the chance that the player he passes to will have to shoot it. This tends to limit the team's assists as a whole, though, and decrease the team's shooting percentage. This is where all the "23 seconds or more" Calderon "empty assists" sigs you used to see in the TOR forums comes from.

    As we have gone into steroid Harden-iso-overdrive-on-steroid mode this season, team assists dropped ~26% from one of the best to one of the worst, team scoring efficiency also took a dive across the board (except for Lin). I reckon that's where that sentiment comes from.

    Yeah, we'll probably feed him and he'll get to double digit points, and then we will inexplicably reduce his touches to nothing the second half.

    Over exaggeration.

    Assists are down mainly because we aren't shooting nearly as well from three so far and the fact that we are dropping it into Howard in the post.
