I don't think he meant to offend anybody. On the other hand the better quote would have been 'SOME' people.
well, i've never heard of any people eating cat. not even one. i even asked to make sure. an example of a chinese delicacy would be something like shark fin soup. but cat is not a delicacy nor have i ever heard of anybody skinning one to eat it. the closest thing to a pet being eaten would be a snake.
Let me clarify myself because I'm about to go out and I don't want to see 100 pissed off post at me because I'll be drunk when I get back. My point was that there are a lot worse things going on towards animals in the world then drinking milk. I watched a show a while back that showed cats getting skined alive in China and thrown into to a huge tank with other cats. I'm sure it happens here at places but they didn't show that on what I was watching. Why doesn't PETA go after issues like this rather then asking players to not accept awards because they are sponsored by milk? That's my last thoughts.
i wonder if peta considers plants as living things if so how am i humanly eat my fruits and vegetables?
The way PETA tells it, it's not the idea that the milk came from cows, it's the conditions under which most dairy cattle live that they object to. Personally, I think it's far more tragic that so many sports fans eat buffalo wings. Think of all the poor, flightless buffaloes, roaming the plains of America -- forever earthbound because of ugly human greed!
well, i've also heard stories of people selling meat buns made out of dead human meat and covering up the taste with lots of spice. but that a'int a delicacy. that **** is illegal. and when a cop found a finger nail in his bun, they arrested them. i don't think there's a health department inspecting restaurants in china. that's probably the main problem. but i've never heard of cat being eaten. some cheapskates are probably trying to save money by using other substitute meat like human.
nothing wrong w/ drinking milk...if you are a BABY COW. i understand alot of people love their milk, but its for baby cows, not people. we dont have cows running around suckling on humans. i do love ice cream though. in all seriousness , i cant believe PETA is doing that. its dumb-asses like them that make the rest of us liberal minded folks look like a bunch of pettoulli reeking, granola eating, no-shoe wearing hippies. im sure that yao is very concerned about those self-riteous PETA folks.
the funny thing about those peta folks is they probably go to mcdonalds and eat a big mac right after protesting for cow's rights.
Checked out Snopes.... Didn't find anything on cats, but apparently in China (at least in some places) they do eat St. Bernard. As I've stated before, I love animals, especially dogs, but if I were in China, I would have to try it. I'm almost positive I've eaten perro in Mexico at least once, and it was rather tasty. Oh, and I find my smell offensive.
Another fun thing about milk is all of the hormones swimming around in it. Kids, drink up your bovine growth hormones....mmmm, good.
A couple of notes... Les and Nanci Alexander were divorced last year. Les was the big supporter of PETA, not Nanci. This is freakin' stupid and I'm a vegetarian. PETA used to be a good organization that did support the cause of animal rights. Now, they are just idiotic.
Not Promised Land Dairy. That's just pure cholesterol. It's like drinking pure heavy cream. Suuuure is gooood though.
Jason Collier isn't that nice looking They had a mini-protest outside of Honeybaked Ham in River Oaks today.
PETA might have very good intention, but I think this is not fair to Yao Ming. He's barely been in US for a year & probably do not know all the goings-on with PETA.
