Oh my god. Someone is just r****d if not clueless. Centers are slow, that is the fact. McHale think he can change that. My god.

Let's give Mchale 30 games and see where we are at. This is his first championship contender type team.

The problem is Asik cant handle the ball or catch the ball. Rockets havent been able to play high low with the bigs because of Asik's weaknesses. Rockets should just start Jones from now on. He's the most talented four man they have and he makes the starting lineup more athletic and he adds another shot blocker.

TT should be situational, especially when defense is needed; not at the start of the game when we're trying to get our offense flowing. It's making relatively easy games more difficult than they should be.

TT sucks and needs to be blown up. If Mchale is so in love with TT that's fine. Play them in stretches when we need to clog the lane but not to start the game and dig us a big hole.

    his lineup should be
    Bev
    Harden
    Parsons
    Jones
    Howard

with Lin and Asik being the first off the bench. I think Lin needs to start over Bev but it looks like he was pretty effective last game so I'm fine with that as long as Bev has limited minutes. I agree he has good on ball D and is scrappy but this board seriously overrates Pat Bev. If he's playing 30 mins a game your team is in trouble. He offers nothing on the offensive side and the offense stalls when he's in there. Of course he has low turn overs. The only pass he makes is the safe pass to Harden and he just goes and stands in the corner.

Asik and Howard definitely do not work together on the offensive side of things. Which is why i think they should only play together in stretches if the opposing team has a bunch of slashers and we need to clog the lane up a bit.

I've been against the Asik/Dwight pairing since May, and I'm still against it.

I only support it somewhat because I believe they are just showcasing Asik for trades.

We just need to make it about one more month. By December 15th I expect Asik to start being shopped around.

After watching 8 games, I have to agree. For the same reason, I also support Lin as a starter.

The TT lineup is like an abusive relationship. They told McHale they would change but in the end they always break his heart and/or jaw.

30 games? I hope you're joking. We can't screw around right now. The next 4 games are very winnable and the Rockets better get all of them. Cuz after that they start to play the good teams in the West and we need to have settled on a starting 5 that can actually score and defend consistently. It's pretty obvious at this point that it ain't working with Howard and Asik. If McHale can't see that, he has no business coaching this team.

And BTW, let's not get cocky and assume that we have the luxury of wasting a third of the season experimenting with stupid lineups like the Twin Towers. The West is loaded this year. The Spurs and Thunder are picking up right where they left off. The Clippers and Warriors are locks for the playoffs. The T'Wolves and Blazers are off to an impressive start. The Mavs will be improved as long as Dirk stays healthy. You figure the Grizzlies will get it together at some point. And even the Suns are playing well.

If the Rockets dig themselves too deep a hole early on by losing easy games due to a coaching deficiency, they'll struggle just to make the playoffs which is inexcusable.

With Howard, I do not think other GMs are stupid enough to evaluate Asik's value by him start or not. I think it is not Asik's trade value. It is Houston just trying too hard to show that they do not need to trade Asik with the TT lineup. Please do not fool yourself anymore. Even us know how bad the TT performed. At the end, they all know Asik failed and failed hard. How can that increase his trade value?

I have a feeling McHale does not like Jones, otherwise, he should let Jones start.

I think any competent GMs already know Asik's value. TT in spurts during the game based on matchups. But no reason to cram it down your own throats.

According to Morey the rebounding issue is that the perimeter players are not attacking the boards as hard when the TT are playing.

Jones played 30+ minutes vs Toronto.

This was in the second half when we blew a big lead.

have to say McHale is a coach with unique understanding of games...

I wouldn't mind the TT experiment as long as we are winning games
