Interesting. The results are flipped from what they were last year. Last year, Harden had better FG %'s when Lin was on the floor; and Lin actually had better FG%'s when Harden was off the floor.

Maybe the difference is the Dwight/starters factor. That Lin/Harden's numbers are likely to go when playing with more members of starting unit. When Lin is not playing with Harden, he is usually playing with a unit including more bench players. So maybe that accounts for some of his lower TS and eFG numbers without Harden this year. (That is, playing with Dwight and Harden, Lin is likely to be left wider open, than when Lin is playing with Omer and Garcia). Same for when Harden is playing with Lin, usually more bench players are mixed in, which might explain his lower numbers in that situation.

if lin can maintain something close to his current percentages, he'll be one of the elite players in this league

"He is a good player and an alpha scorer and he made some tough shots, some big 3’s, and he got it going. Once he got it going, he’s one of those guys you have to make uncomfortable." - Kyle Lowry

Lin showed that he could hit jump shots during Linsanity. He had a bad first half last season, probably due to both physical and mental reasons. Ever since the all-star break, he's been a good shooter. He's just improved even more this off-season.

Lin's been playing really well this season. I remember he killed us as Knick and last year as a Rocket. i would like to see him run the pick and roll with Dwight but then I like him coming off the bench cuz Harden can pick and roll with Dwight and the Lin can take over when he comes in

I have seen a lot of improvement on offense - left handed, higher arch on jump shot.

    Just great.

On D - he is a drifter - and gets burned some but gets steals too - so it keeps
him as just an ok defender.

Overall he is the best PG on the team by a long way.

Hats off to the youngsta for working on his game during the offseason. His all around game has improved tremendously.

Ditto. Hats off, but I know that all our boys worked hard and will show improvement in the next several months and I hope that when Lin has a slump, and he will, we will still support him especially if he averages out to have a great season.

    people still talking about this?

NY told Lin to go out and find his value. They were banking on the fact that everyone else thought he was a flash in the pan, and wouldn't throw big money at him. Meanwhile, They chased Nash, Kidd, Fat Felton. They could've kept him and avoided all the crap they went through if they ACTUALLY OFFERED HIM A CONTRACT. I've got no doubt if they come with 4yr 20m, he just signs that straight away.

Nekminit Morey comes and throws the checkbook at Lin, whether or not you believe the initial 3yr 20m offer is up to everyones judgement. But Lin had no choice but to sign that contract. Nobody else was willing to bid that high for him, and NY got hoodwinked in the process cause of the poison pill business.

Lin has finally found his calling as basically a combo guard that's more a scorer than a PG. I like it. It seems to be what he's more comfortable doing.

I'll admit i'm biased, but it's pretty clear it did not work out for the Knicks. Felton was though to be a better fit because he's more of a distributor but he shoots the ball more than Lin! They dont have enough offensive fire power sans melo....2 of their top 3 players, Tyson and Shump are primarily defensive players. He would've been a great fit if he stayed.

That said, Melo/Lin may actually fit better than Harden/Lin since Melo isn't going to be out there trying to create for others.
