Not always true, Lin heats up in the latter half of games usually.

Lin won't be a credible 3pt shooter until he shoots >50% with volume. too many doubters and haters.

I'm not sure. At first I was really rooting for Lin to be the starter, but after seeing aggressive he is at attacking, looking for his shots instead of trying to force pass that leads to TO, the idea of him being the 6th man seems just a perfect fit.

If anything, it's the Twin Tower that needs to change.

all Lin has to do to get the haters away is to have one good season and not go full r****d in playoffs.

We started Lin last season and often lose the lead built up by the time the 2nd unit comes off the bench. There's no reason to have both Harden and Lin on the floor at the same time. We should see where we go with Lin as the 6th man first.

Lin is a humble humble guy, he'll embrace whatever role is given to him and not complain, just let his play do the talking.

What this team needs is Lin to be the clear floor general and leader. You shouldn't be doing that from the bench, 25min. per game or not.

Raptor fans have a thread about how awesome it would be to have Jeremy Lin on their team, since they are in TANK mode (throwing all the games) and how he would perfectly fit on their team. They've been pretty much just trashing on him since friday.

    http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1282620&start=105

    And then tonight happened...

fredericklove: "yup, this guy definitely not good for the tank, do. not. want."

    It's pretty entertaining to read.

The result would be terrible. Lin's ability to penetrate is still his main asset and actually a strength over curry or klay (Lin is really strong for a pg).

Those guys are unreal three point shooters. Jeremy has to play his game still. I like the shots that he's picking right now.

Mark my words... next off-season he'll put in the work on fighting over screens and ball handling and we'll really be rolling.

He's been playing ball his whole life. If he can't shoot FT by now it ain't happening.

If he leveraged the 3pt more I bet he could can 4-5 a night on average.

As someone mentioned earlier, the idea of letting Harden playing PG and Lin as SG sounds rather intriguing. The Rockets do have 3 guards to rotate around after all.

HAHA. Harden has been a successful 6th man. Since he's started for the rox we've had bad starts for over a season. Time to bring him off the bench again. See how that logic works?

Lin should never pass up open/good look shots. Take what the defense gives him and flow with the game. Pass when he sees opening, but don't force it.

    Rockets offense is putrid.

You guys will understand one day (if you don't already) and this "here, just play basketball" offense DOES NOT WORK. It's ineffective. The Rockets have zero structure offensively. ZERO. If they aren't running, they go iso. When they DO get an open shot, they end up passing it up and here comes a turnover.

There needs to either be some time to gel OR this will continue all season. This is OKC's offense. This is Denver's offense. This is all those teams who just have their stars bail them out when they are in dire straits on offense. This cannot work, folks. Not going to win 50+ games doing that. Rockets better find some cohesion on offense, or this will get really, really ugly.

    Rockets offense is putrid.

He definitely doesn't seem happy, but I think that makes him more balanced on the court. The only time I really saw him fired up tonight was on that last shot in the second overtime. Good for him to learn to be a bit more even keel through the whole game. I think you're right about the best direction for him is 6MOY.
